Black N Da Blues Technical Requirements (Tech Rider) This outlines the technical requirements for the performance agreement. Primary Contact: Mauricio Salgado [email protected] Flexibility: Please note that if any of the following items and/or timetables are not in any way possible please coordinate with the primary contact and an attempt to make adjustments to the satisfaction of both parties will be made. Modifications must be approved by the show’s Director. Schedule: On the day of the performance, the performers require a 2-hour rehearsal with all of their equipment. The musicians travel with their own instruments and backline. One hour load-in and setup are necessary. The Technical Director typically provides all additional sound equipment for FOH and stage monitoring. In this case load-in/setup time will extend to 3-hours prior to rehearsal. Sound check will take place before the house opens. House opening time is to be determined by the show’s Director. Running time of show is approximately 75 minutes. 90 minutes for load out time of full system after the show. Staging: Ideal stage size of at least 30’ x 40’. Absolute minimum is 15’ x 18’ for all performers on stage. Venue is responsible for protecting the stage. Dressing Rooms: One large dressing room for Women and one large dressing room for Men (or several smaller rooms, as necessary) with adequate mirrors (prefer full-length), make-up tables/counter space, chairs for all performers, and a trash can. Two large coat racks with hangers requested. Rooms must be clean and climate controlled to ensure the comfort of the performers. Adequate access to rest room facilities and hot & cold running water. Hospitality: Each performer will need two bottles of cool water for the performance. Company to provide: 4 music stands and 4 stools for the vocalists/narrator. Pre-show playlist. Frontline will typically consist of 2 PA mains speakers and 2 subwoofers, modified as necessary to suit the venue. Instrumentation will consist of Drum kit, Bass, Keys, Sax, 2 Electric guitars, and Acoustic Guitar. Backline consists of Bass Amp/Cabinet (typically 2x12), powered Keyboard amplifier (or monitor), and 2 Electric guitar amplifiers. Stage monitoring will consist of 7 monitors on 5 individual sends. 3 vocal monitors on one send, 1 for Keys, 1 for Drums, 1 shared between Sax and El. Gtr1, and 1 for Bass. Input list and layout provided on Stage Plot included with this rider. Venue to provide: Adequate 120V electrical connections at stage. 4 separate drops on stage - for backline of 2 Guitar amplifiers, Keyboard/Keyboard amplifier, and Bass amplifier and pedalboards/accessories. Chair for Electric Guitar player and stool for Keyboard player. Electrical capacity will need to be provided for the PA and monitor amplifiers. Ideally these will be provided on 3 separate 20 Amp circuits. 15 Amp electrical capacity will also need to be provided at the mix position. Mix position to be within 75’ of stage in FOH.
