Once again we are talking about Fire & Earth. This time Mutable & Cardinal. This has the potential for being a paranoid personality with an excruciating headache. Capricorn’s cardinal Earth can be insufferably embarrassed by the independent free wheeling of the Sag mutable fire while Sag feels imprisoned by the restrictions felt by Cap limitations which attempts to keep everything well under control and respectable. “Foot in mouth disease” is intolerable to Cap and at least uncomfortable to Sag when there was no intention to hurt anyone. Didn’t they want to hear the truth? When this happens it is embarrassing to both signs. Bad enough that Sag has to deal with such slips but much worse with Cap moralizing. It is much more difficult for this uncivilized and insensitive happy-go-lucky spirit to be comfortable when teamed with this formal, status quo, please-the- public taskmaster on guard. It is equally difficult for Cap to stand the embarrassment that Sag on its own could brush off. If someone is offended there are always more people to party with. Not that Sag isn’t sorry and even willing to apologize if it doesn’t also have to have its nose rubbed in it. If this Siamese conflict is going on in one individual it will be up to that individual to find a way for the fun loving, happy-go-lucky Sag to be civilized without being too imprisoned. The Cap influence will be a lot more sociable and fun also if they learn to take a joke less seriously. Cap can have the ability to diplomatically smooth ruffled feathers and if the embarrassment can be controlled, less will be lost to worry about. Success, fame and honor are possible rewards for smoothing out this conflicting tendency. HI, i am a female teacher, who just turned 30, on Dec 21, 2009…I am also into metaphysics, do not believe in religion, highly spiritual….I also have an interest in withcraft, and guardian angels. my dob 12/23/1982. I’ve read quite a bit about this cusp. Makes so much more sense than trying to relate to the capricorn description. One trait in particular that I’ve seen over and over in myself is the stubborn and almost rebellious determination… so strong that no matter what it is that I want, it really only becomes a matter of time no matter who or what stands in my way. Affinity for language is another characteristic I can vouch for. Also a knack for subtlety, or ‘silent’ communication. I can see where harmonizing the sag worldly understanding and expansive ideas with capricorn resourcefulness, determination and business savvy would make this cusp/sign one of the most successful. So… YAY for us!

12/23/86 and i can definitely commit to both Sag and Cap traits. I most definitely agree with the feeling of being pulled in two directions and find it extremely difficult and amazing being on the cusp. It makes for a lot of interesting characteristics, an openness to doing a lot more than a typical Capricorn would do and meeting or associating with a great range of people a typical Capricorn would not. I feel I am best described as my as actions as majority Sagittarian and my reactions as majoritity Capricorn, which can makes things tremendously difficult.

I’m not on the cusp – full blown Sag – but as a Sag, felt I needed to add my two cents.

I’m researching Sag/Cap cusp because we are raising our grandson and his bday is 12/22. I want to know what to expect and how to help him find his way.

Linda Adams-Poltermann – only tough love is going to work with those kids. I have a 20 y/o who is just finally graduating high school (tg) and he has until his 21st birthday to either enroll in college or move out on his own – and he doesn’t have a job. He’s been forewarned. I did tell him he’s going to make me cry every night when I’m worrying about him so he should get it together!

12/25/85 – I was very Capricorn-like growing up. However, when I came across an Aries, my fire side got ignited by this spark I shared w/ this Aries. I have my moments when I want to just explore the unknown, but I also have my down-to- earth moments, not really wanting to take risks. I’ve always been very indecisive. When reading about my Sun sign, I felt as though I could not relate at all. I did my natal birth chart and found out that my Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Uranus are all in Sagittarius! So it makes sense. I think my fire aspects make me undeniably attracted to other fire signs, even though I’m an Earth sign Sun-wise.

This is so me. I am very indecisive, free-wheeling yet conservative at times. I do like being social, and I’ve come to realize that more and more as I get older, I haven’t researched Sag traits enough but this description is crazy on point. I am a Sag born on the 21st December 1983.

I must admit that I swing back and forth bewteen the two signs. I identify with both Capricorn more serious nature and Sagittarius’ grand search for truth.

But then there is also my moon in Cancer-which is very cautous and sensitive. I also have Taurus as my Ascendant, which I guess emphasizes the Sun in Capricorn qualities more.

I seem to be favoring my more practical qualities, as I get older, and doing away with this idealism that I’ve kept for so long.

I am reserved, serious and ambitious. I am also sensitive, introverted and looney at times. I don’t know if I can say that this description fits me to the “t”.

Being a cusp child is confusing…I also have mercury(sign of comprehension and mental aptitude) in Capricorn.So I guess that is where the Capricorn energy comes from.

Most sites dismiss this issue of “cusp” signs as they allege that a person is either one, or the other sign and that it is impossible to be born “between signs”.

I’ll stick with Sagittarius for now….
