SUSPENDED IN AIR Place (Low-A Southeast East) 3rd Tuesday marked the third suspended contest that the Tortugas will resume during the 2021 campaign: Games Ahead/Behind -4.5 • Tied at two after four before the game was halted on Tuesday, June 8, Daytona harnessed in the restart, defeating Bradenton, 8-2. • In the nightcap, Marauders RHP Santiago Florez threw a seven-inning, complete-game shutout to defeat the Tortugas, 3-0. • On Wednesday, May 12, Daytona's contest against the St. Lucie Mets was suspended after the top of the third with the Tortugas leading, Home Attendance 20,796 2-0, on a two-run home run to right by C Garrett Wolforth. • The Tortugas scored three runs on three hits and an error in the first inning after the contest picked back up in the bottom of the third on Home Dates (Lost) 18 (0) Thursday, May 13...Daytona went on to defeat St. Lucie in a rout, 15-2.
