Rare species are: Xyela (Xyela) julii (Brébisson, 1818), Monoctenus juniperi (Linné, 1758), Dolerus (Poodolerus) blanki Liston, 1995 and Euura fuscomaculata (Förster, 1854). Aproceros leucopoda Takeuchi, 1939 is a newly introduced invasive species. The sampling places are restricted to 3 different areas. These are the Protected Wooded pasture at Csokonyavisonta, Juniper woodlands at Darány and the floodplain of River Dráva at Vízvár. Csokonyavisonta Protected Wooded Pasture This wooded pasture (Figs. 2, 5 and 6) was a result of human activity, namely the traditional extensive livestock breeding (cattle and pigs) in the last centuries. The altitude of the area varies between 120-140 m. Within this small area, there are high diversity of habitats typical for Somogy county from the sand dunes till the wet and swampy depressions holding alder-moors.

It is apparently the first amber fossil that can be definitively assigned to Tenthredininae. It displays two diagnostic forewing characters for this subfamily: having a bend distally in vein R and the junctions of veins M and Rs + M with vein R being some distance from each other. The variance and possible transitions between the anal vein configurations among the genera in Tenthredininae is briefly discussed. The larvae of the members of the superfamily are all herbivores and most are external feeders on green parts of angiosperms; however, other host plants and feeding modes (e.g., leafrolling, leafmining, or galling in leaves, buds and shoots; see Nyman et al. 1998, 2000) do occur.     A review of the Symphyta Fauna of the Sheffietd Area. David J. Gibbs. lntroduction. Sawflies have never attracted much attention from the entomological fraternity, while the casual naturalist seems to have remained almost oblivious to their existence. Yet they are a large and varied group containing many large, obvious and attractive species, and a useful key to facilitate their identification has been available for thirty years. I hope that this review of their local status and distribution will highlight our lack of knowledge of the group and thus their potential as subjects for original work, encouraging entomologists to take savvllies seriously. The Symphyta are by far the smaller and most primitive of the two sub-orders of Hymenoptera. They are readily separated from the Apocrita by the absence of the "wasp-waisted" appearance of the latter sub-order. All savvflies (except Cephidae) posses unique structures called cenchri on the metanotum which couple with rough patches on the forewings when closed, thus holding them firmly in place. They spend much of their adult life just sitting on leaves and flowers, Umbellifers being particularly favourable. While some are fast fliers most are rather weak in flight and many are as likely to scuttle away into dense vegetation than take flight. Their common name, sawfly, is derived from the structure of the ovipositor which is laterally compressed and possesses saw-like teeth on the ventral side. These teeth are very variable and often species specific. Males can be told from females by looking at the ventral plate of the abdomen (9th sternite) which in the female is divided by the sawsheath, in which the ovipositor is housed, while in the male it is complete.

Some bat species inhabiting locations with mild temperate winters forage during brief inter-torpor normothermic periods of activity. However, the winter diet of bats in mild temperate locations is studied infrequently. Although microscopic analyses of faeces have traditionally been used to characterise bat diet, recently the coupling of PCR with second generation sequencing has offered the potential to further advance our understanding of animal dietary composition and foraging behaviour by allowing identification of a much greater proportion of prey items often with increased taxonomic resolution. We used morphological analysis and Illumina-based second generation sequencing to study the winter diet of Natterer’sbat(Myotis nattereri) and compared the results obtained from these two approaches. For the first time, we demonstrate the applicability of the Illumina MiSeq platform as a data generation source for bat dietary analyses. Results: Faecal pellets collected from a hibernation site in southern England during two winters (December-March 2009–10 and 2010–11), indicated that M. nattereri forages throughout winter at least in a location with a mild winter climate. Through morphological analysis, arthropod fragments from seven taxonomic orders were identified. A high proportion of these was non-volant (67.9% of faecal pellets) and unexpectedly included many lepidopteran larvae.

Celkovo bolo zaznamenaných 200 druhov a osem čeľadí hrubopásych. Ďalších dvanásť taxónov nebolo identifikovaných do druhu. Dolerus altivolus, D. hibernicus, Eriocampa dorpatica, Euura hastatae, Fenella monilicornis, Nematus yokohamensis tavastiensis, Pachynematus clibrichellus. Phyllocolpa excavata, P. polita, P. ralieri, Pontania gallarum, P. virilis, Pristiphora breadalbanensis, P. coactula a Tenthredo ignobilis boli zistené na Slovensku po prvýkrát. Významný počet ľaunistický zaujímavých nálezov naznačuje vysokú zachovalosť študovaných prírodných stanovíšť v širšom okolí Demänovskej a Jánskej doliny, Svarína a v národnej prírodnej rezervácii Turková. Ce travail est inédit car aucune liste des Symphytes de France n’a jamais été publiée. Nous avons appliqué pour ce travail les travaux les plus récents, notamment ceux de notre collègue français Jean LACOURT qui a fortement fait évoluer la classification des Tenthredinidae. Dans cette liste, nous avons éliminé les espèces anciennement citées (avant 1950) sans localités ni dates précises et qui n’ont pas été retrouvées dans les collections des différents musées français mais nous avons inclus les espèces nouvelles pour la France ou pour la science, dont les publications sont en cours ou sous presse.
