The material presented was adapted from teaching methods that had proved successful in diverse situations with many students. The manual is divided into fourteen chapters, including ones on bowling equipment and specifications, bowling etiquette and safety, basic fundamentals of bowling, evaluation and testing, administrative concerns, and bowling opportunities. Also included in the manual are drawings and diagrams, a glossary of bowling terms, a list of useful references and, as an appendix, a brief history of bowling which traces bowling back to the ancient Polynesians.
