ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH · ONALASKA, WI From the Desk of Msgr. Steve

Welcome Back!

If bulletins could have a song attached and played with them this week, I would have had Shealan play the theme song from “Welcome Back Kotter”. Now that the dispensation has been lifted it is important for all of us to be together again. As family we come together before God as one and to place ourselves before His holy altar, to receive His holy presence in the Eucharist, to recognize His saving power. We did our best live streaming during the pandemic, but this act of love of God needs to be done in person, in God’s House, soooooo… Welcome Back!!! It is most fitting we hear about the saving power of Christ in action in our gospel today. When we put into action our faith, especially by coming to church, we are uniting ourselves with his saving power. Too many in our day and age are not realizing what they are forfeiting when they give up their faith or the practice of it. I keep saying heaven is not automatic we must align ourselves with God’s saving power. At- tending mass on Sunday is aligning ourselves with that power.

As I said last week, my e-mail was hacked a few weeks ago, and since then I have not been getting emails. I have set up a new account and am back on track. I apologize if you sent me something and I did not respond… most likely I did not receive it. My new e mail is [email protected]

God Bless,

Msgr. Steve and (woof) George
