July, 2000 ESPN Deportes debuts as a Spanish-language TV block that featured select Sunday Night games and the telecast of the . The programming was offered free of charge to affiliates nationwide that distributed it on system channels.

Sept., 2000 ESPNdeportes.com launches in the U.S and

April 1, 2001 The ESPN Deportes brand expands as a 52-week block of exclusive Spanish-language Sunday night sports featuring , NFL games and exclusive bouts. The programming was offered free of charge to affiliates nationwide that distributed it on system channels.

Oct. 14, 2003 ESPN Deportes launches a daily four-hour block of Spanish-language programming. As the Sunday night block, this programming was offered to affiliates nationwide. The content consisted of a mix of taped events as well as a variety of sports information and analysis shows

Jan. 7, 2004 ESPN Deportes Television officially launches at 7:00 p.m. ET  The 24-hour network launched with a special show called Somos ESPN Deportes that previewed key programming and featured an array of Latino sports stars.  The show was followed by the inaugural edition of the new Spanish-language production of SportsCenter, and by a live telecast of the NBA game- Golden State Warriors vs. Mavericks.  ESPN Deportes debuted with a lineup of more than 200 live events scheduled for the year that included MLB, NBA, NFL, Champions League, , boxing, among others  The net also launched with six studio shows anchored by SportsCenter. Others included Fuera de Juego, Futbol Picante, NFL Semanal and Perfiles.

Aug., 2009 Renowned sportscaster Jorge Ramos joins ESPN Deportes television and Jorge Ramos y su Banda starts its on television and radio. Dec., 2009 ESPN Deportes finishes 2009 as the most watched and highest rated Spanish-language sports cable network. It also delivered more hours of sports news and information programming than any other Spanish-language network.

June, 2010 ESPN Deportes telecasts the FIFA World Cup in Portuguese.

June, 2012 ESPN Deportes’ posts its highest-rated and most-watched month ever- led by Euro 2012. 5.25 million people (P+2) tuned into live coverage of Euro 2012 tournament on ESPN Deportes.

Sept. 2012 ESPN Deportes launched ESPN Deportes+, a digital programming extension of ESPN Deportes available on ESPNdeportes.com dedicated to offering live, exclusive events in Spanish-language. The broadband channel is available on computers, and tablets.

ESPN Deportes Radio launched in New York as ESPN Deportes Radio 1050AM- when ESPN Radio’s New York station switched to 98.7 FM

Dec., 2012 ESPN Deportes finishes 2012 as the most-watched and highest-rated Spanish-language sports cable network. It also delivered more hours of sports news and information programming than any other Spanish-language network.

March, 2013 ESPN Deportes tripled its offering of Mexican league soccer. The network telecasts close to 100 matches- from Liga Bancomer MX and Copa MX- every year.

June 2013 ESPN Deportes airs the NBA Finals for the first time on Spanish-language television. A total of 1,215,000 (P2+) tuned in to the network’s telecasts of the Finals.

Sept. 14, 2013 ESPN Deportes Launches ESPN Sync, the first Spanish-language sports TV companion. It debuted during Mayweather vs. Canelo bout.
