Si cette année 2020 a durement affecté chaque Français, tout le pays a pu compter sur un personnel hospitalier sans faille et pourtant soumis à rude épreuve tout au long de la crise sanitaire. Durant cette période, la Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris - Hôpitaux de France (HP-HF) a répondu aux besoins les plus urgents exprimés par les hôpitaux et les EHPAD de toute la France. La Fondation œuvre notamment pour la création et l'aménagement d'espaces de détente pour les soignants éprouvés par la crise. Elle finance également des espaces famille dans les EHPAD, afin de permettre aux résidents d'accueillir leurs proches en toute sécurité. La LNR a souhaité s'engager pour les accompagner dans cette mission. Le dimanche soir, pour le choc final du Boxing Day qui verra s'affronter le RC Toulonnais et l'ASM Clermont Auvergne à 21h, tous les joueurs des deux équipes porteront pour la première fois des maillots uniques entièrement redessinés aux couleurs des blouses du personnel hospitalier, le blanc pour le RC Toulonnais et le bleu-vert pour l'ASM Clermont Auvergne.
