Recreation Hotline Donald E. Carpenter Jr., a beloved and devoted member of the Fairfield Parks & 513-896-8400 Recreation Board and a treasured friend to many, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Kettering Hamilton, at the age of 64. PARKS AND Donald was truly one-of-a-kind. He loved cooking and watching The Food Network, Cooking Channel and Perry Mason re-runs. He had enormous faith, never met a RECREATION stranger, and had a strong desire to mentor young people, and share the Gospel of Christ with everyone, posting scripture on Instagram almost daily, often with beautiful BOARD backgrounds involving his own photography in which he had a knack for, especially the outdoors and steeples of churches. He suffered from ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) Doug Meece, Chair and was on Dialysis for over 12 years. Despite his health, Donald never let it get in the way of his passions. The Usher’s primary responsibility is to insure the safety and comfort of all Fairfield Community Arts Center patrons. The benefits of being an usher is to give volunteers an opportunity to interact with the public and provide a valuable service to theatre patrons for the CAC. Ushers also get to see theatrical events at no cost. FurField Dog Park Ambassadors – help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy park for all dogs and humans! Fairfield Park Ambassadors– document maintenance needs, report acts of vandalism, interact with park users, promote park safety, and encourage an overall positive use of public space.
