2 | 44th Street notes | march 2009 www.nycbar.org New Library Hours Beginning March 7, 2009, the New York City Bar Library will no longer be open on Saturdays. Library attendance on Saturday has declined significantly over the years, with very few members now using the Library on that day. As we’re sure you can appreciate, in today’s challenging economic climate we have to be particularly sensitive to how we use our membership dues. The Library is usually the only service that is operating at the Association on Saturdays, and to keep the Library open we incur operational costs, such as building staff and utilities, in addition to library staff. We are truly sorry that we cannot continue to provide you with Saturday service, and will keep working to increase the resources of the Library available to you here at the Association and from your office and home, including remote services like Hein Online, LLMC digital database, real estate forms and Westlaw forms. We hope that you continue to find the Library, during its hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, © 2009 Leo Cullum from cartoonbank.com.
