Maintenance Request Process

In order for any maintenance event to be covered under the BEI program a work authorization request must be submitted to BDI. You may utilize the link in your dashboard or use the Work Authorization Form to submit your request. This can also be accomplished by the maintenance facility performing the work.

If for any reason you are unable to access the WA form please contact the BEI team at [email protected] or call at 972-586-1885 for assistance.

Although it is not necessary to fill out all of the fields on the form the more information you provide the better we’re able to assist with your request.

Troubleshooting

If you’re submitting a WA for troubleshooting please be sure and have your MX facility or mechanic contact P&WC Cfirst team to help diagnose the issue. Any recommendations/actions should be forwarded to a BEI team member so any required material may be provided.

Scheduled Maintenance Events

The scheduled maintenance checks for the PW610F-A include the following: 1) 300-hour inspection a. Mandatory replacement items: i. Spark igniters – Covered under program. 2) 600-hour inspection a. Mandatory replacement items: i. Oil filter element. – not currently covered. ii. Fuel filter element. – not currently covered. 3) Engine Hot Section Inspections – Covered under program* a. Required every 1750 hours. i. An additional 50 hours is provided for scheduling purposes. b. Mandatory replacement items: i. Replacement of AGB Magnetic seal ii. Fuel Manifold Assembly iii. HPT Seal 4) Engine Overhauls – Covered under program* a. Required every 3500 hours i. An additional 100 hours is provided for scheduling purposes. 5) Low Utilization Engine Inspections – Not currently covered. a. A low utilization engine is defined as an engine that has not been subject to disassembly and inspection of both hot section and cold section at an approved overhaul facility b. For engines subject to low utilization, the initial on-wing Low Utilization Inspection (LUI) is to be done at the end of the following two periods, whichever comes first: i. 12 years since entry into Service/Overhaul, or ii. 13 years since engine manufacture. iv. At the end of either of the two LUI intervals, an additional 1 month or 10 flight hours, whichever comes first, is permitted for scheduling purposes. vii. Subsequent LUI's are to be performed at 24 month intervals, provided that visual inspections, borescope inspections and performance calibration runs are satisfactory. If the visual or borescope inspections or the calibration runs are not satisfactory, return the engine to an approved service facility for appropriate maintenance or repairs.

*If a Mobile Repair Team (MRT) is requested for an HSI the operator must cover the travel expenses of the team to their requested location. Subject to the exclusions within the BEI/ESP agreement.

Hot Section Inspections

The HSI is to be performed at 1750 hours or half of the engine TBO interval. The TBO or time to be overhauled is 3500 hours for the PW610F-A. An additional 50 flights hours is available for scheduling purposes.

NOTE: • If a deviation letter is approved and provided a fee may apply. • It will be necessary to provide your estimated monthly utilization to determine the amount of hours needed on the deviation request.

Scheduling: - A BEI representative will reach out to operators to schedule their HSI when they’re forecast to reach 1750 hours. - An operator can also reach out to a BEI representative as early 1700 flight hours to schedule their HSI.

Available locations: There are two fly in locations that are currently able to complete these inspections. • Burlington, Vt. – There are no additional costs to have the inspections completed at this location. • Long Beach, California – The FBO onsite typically charges for hangar fees that are $150 a day, the inspection typically takes 5-7 days. These fees are not covered under BEI.

If you’d like to have the inspections completed at specific Maintenance facility a Mobile Repair Team (MRT) can be dispatched to that site. If you do choose this route you will be responsible for the MRT travel expenses. These typically range from $7K - $10K.

The following Maintenance facilities have experience working with P&WC MRT in performing the HSI. • Apex Aviation – Henderson, NV • Eclipse Aviation – Albuquerque, NM • Eclipse Aviation – Sugar Grove, Illinois • BOCA Aviation – Boca Raton, Florida

*Any hours deferred to HSI must be paid prior to the scheduled event. Deferred hours can be paid down prior to HSI.

Engine Overhaul

The basic TBO for the PW610F-A is 3500 flight hours an additional 100 hours is available for scheduling purposes.

Scheduling: A BEI representative will reach out to operators to schedule their HSI when they’re forecast to reach 3500 hours. An operator can also reach out to a BEI representative as early 3450 flight hours to schedule their HSI.

Overhaul process: Once an induction date has been scheduled with P&WC – Plant 5 (located in Montreal, Canada) a BEI representative will reach out to the operator to schedule a removal and install of loaner engines. Average TAT for dual engine R&I is 3-5 days.

The estimated TAT for an engine OH is 60-90 days. Once a completion date is received from P&WC a BEI representative will reach out to the operator to schedule an R&I.
