We have a great little rink at Kingsmere Park, run YMCA Opening Soon by the GPCA and volunteers in the community. We DO NEED volunteers from the Skating Rink Info & Hours community to make the rink work. Advertising in the Gazette Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday: 6 pm to 9 pm January 2013 Saturday: 12 pm to 9 pm Sunday: 12 pm to 6 pm Anyone wishing to volunteer (don’t be shy) to take a shift during those times can contact Dave Morrow Glabar Gazette at [email protected] or Jesse Labelle at [email protected] . Also help is often needed following a snowfall to remove the white stuff. As a note of caution, please stay off the rink when it is mild and the ice is soft. A message from our President The Annual General Meeting (AGM) this past October saw a change, with our previous Happy Skating!! president (Bob Sladden) stepping down but remaining on the board and me (Trent Gray-Donald) taking on the role during our first board meeting following the AGM. I'd like to thank Bob for his excellent leadership these last several years, and really appreciate him staying on as a Director and Past President.
