The music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, Jule Styne, Harold Arlen as a starter. The lyrics of Don Black, Ed Kleban, E.Y. Harburg and Bob Merrill as an entrée and to top it off, the beautiful presence and warm sounds of “Lou”. Better than any pudding!

I had the pleasure of conducting for Louise with the BBC CONCERT ORCHESTRA in a tribute to Marvin Hamlisch. Marvin would have been so pleased to know that his songs were being sung as he would’ve wished.

Louise’s interpretive skills along with her effortless instrument and understanding of lyrics make her an artist to be reckoned with. To have all of these skills and to be nice to work with makes for a remarkable and winning combination. When you listen to Louise sing these songs, you know you are hearing them the way the composer/lyricist meant for them to be.

Louise’s understanding of music and lyric is definitive. Only a few times in my life have I been dazzled by talent. , , , , Betty Buckley, Michael Crawford, , , and now... Louise Dearman.
