BOOKS 1-5 FITA CONSTITUTION AND RULES BYLAW Approved by FITA Council on 17 December 2011 Effective as of 1 January 2012 Book 1, Appendix 5, Article 5.5.1.1 5.5.1.1 The following are members of the RTP: From the previous World Archery Championships: all individual medallists in the Recurve and Compound Divisions; The top 8 ranked athletes of the individual World Ranking for the Recurve Division and the top 5 ranked athletes of the individual World Ranking for the Compound Division; In the Olympic Qualification Period (from the World Archery Championships preceding the Olympic Games up to the Olympic Games), every athlete who has obtained a quota place for his country, regardless whether if he shall be participating in the Olympic Games; the athlete qualified to participate in the Olympic Games shall replace the one that obtained the quota place, if different, as soon as confirmed; In the Paralympic years, the individual gold medallists at the Paralympic Games, being replaced by the next individual World Archery Para Champions in the following years, in the Recurve ARW1, ARW2, ARST and Compound Open classes; The Medical & Sport Sciences Committee can include any other athlete, participating at an International Event, in the RTP by written notice to the Member Association and the athlete concerned; If an athlete no longer fulfils any of the above criteria, he shall remain in the RTP until the end of the calendar year, with the exception of athletes in bullets 1 and 4 of this article who shall be removed after the next World Championship, and provided that they are not subject to conditions in other bullets at this time or were not at the beginning of the calendar year. The RTP shall be available on the WA website. The criteria for the Registered Testing Pool will be decided on an annual basis and can be amended at any time with a 1 month notice by the Medical and Sports Science Committee in consultation with the Doping Free Sports Unit of Sportaccord. The criteria and RTP will be published on the World Archery website. 17 December 2011 BYLAW .

BOOKS 1-5 FITA CONSTITUTION AND RULES BYLAW Approved by FITA Council on 8 November 2009 Effective as of 1 April 2010 Book 1, Appendix 8 - New Implementation of Para-Archery rules PARA-ARCHERY RULES 1 This section explains the additional rules which apply to classified para- athletes at all FITA events. 2 Physically disabled para-athletes are assessed by a panel of three international classifiers. The classifiers will allocate a class to each athlete and issue a classification card showing the class and the assistive devices the athlete is allowed to use. 3. Visually impaired athletes must have an international sight classification card. This is produced by an international sight classifier. 4. FITA recognises the following classes for para-athletes in the bow divisions: 4.1. For Recurve division Women: • ARW1 (with sub-class ARW1-C); • ARW2; • ARST (with sub-class ARST-C); Men: • ARW1 (with sub-class ARW1-C); • ARW2; • ARST (with sub-class ARST-C). Sub-classes are used only for national tournaments not international tournaments . FITA Para-Archery A Handbook for Classifiers Amended 2010 Classification Rules 1. Archery Sport Classes Archery will be comprised of the following classes: ARW1 (with sport sub-class ARW1-C) ARW2 ARST (with sport sub-class ARST-C) Note: The sport sub-classes are only in place to allow development of archers at a national level and will not be used in international events VI 2. Functional Classification System This classification system uses disability profiles and a numerical calculation of locomotor ability as guidelines. 3. Locomotor Disabilities 3.1. All locomotor abilities are tested by the Assessment of points for muscle strength testing, and/or Assessment of points for dysfunction (co-ordination) testing, and/or Assessment of points for joint mobility 3.2. 340 points have been allocated to an able-bodied archer. This total is used to calculate the relevant classification. Body Segment Arms 180 Trunk 60 Legs 100 Total 340 3.3. The minimal handicap to be eligible to compete is either A loss of 25 points in the arms, or A loss of 20 points in the trunk, or A loss of 15 points in the lower limbs, or A loss of 25 points in total 3.4. Observation of the archer shooting follows and updates the points calculation assessments. This will demonstrate the functional abilities applied in the shooting. 2 4. Classification Procedure 4.1. Each international classification team shall consist of at least three authorised classifiers, at least one of them having a medical background (e.g. physiotherapist or doctor). 4.2. A national classification may be completed by one person.
