Erosion Erosion is not anticipated and is not considered to be a significant feature in case of river bed mining, as the topsoil content is almost nil and the excavated material is replenished every year. Flooding Flooding may occur depending upon the rainfall, however mining will not be carried out during monsoon season. Mining will help to mitigate the impacts of Flooding.
