Europe’s No. 01 expands to CEE – “Green network from Bordeaux to Bucharest”

Munich/Berlin/Paris/Milan, 21 January 2016 – The next step into new markets – the European mobility provider FlixBus expands its international network and opens new branch in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Travellers from six CEE countries profit from green mobility and international access. New hubs in Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia or Czech Republic are connected up to 15 times per day. More destinations coming soon.
“Green network from Bordeaux to Bucharest” In January FlixBus announces daily connections to around 50 destinations in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia. Capitals like Bratislava or Prague are connected up to 15 times a day to international FlixBus hubs like Vienna or Berlin. André Schwämmlein (FlixBus CEO/founder) said: “We offer high-frequent connections and international access from six CEE countries right now. New lines to Bulgaria, Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina are already in the pipeline. The next step will be a green network from Bordeaux to Bucharest.” FlixBus launched in 2013 as the national player in Germany has grown to offer Europe’s most extensive intercity bus service, operating over 45,000 daily connections to 550 destinations in 16 countries by now.
New entity “FlixBus CEE” and strategic partner from Austria In 2015 the former startup launched new entities and national networks in France, Italy and the Netherlands. In a strategic cooperation with the Austrian Blaguss Group, FlixBus now opens the branch “FlixBus CEE” with headquarters in Budapest and Zagreb. André
