They embark on a major UK arena tour in March 2018, following the release of their new album, Scream Above The Sounds. PAUL WELLER 2 3rd March, The 02 Arena After 40 years in the music business, Paul Weller is still putting out great new material and his 13th studio album, A Kind Revolution, has received heaps of critical acclaim. The album is supported by a UK Arena tour hitting The O2 on Saturday, March 3rd. Expect fans young and old; loyally gathered over the years from Paul’s solo career, going right back to The Jam, of course. RAG ‘N’ BONE MAN 3 8th March, Alexandra Palace Rag’n’Bone Man has been a prolific underground artist for several years, honing his ferociously good reputation as a live act, thanks to his guitar- wielding solo performances and searing vocals. In 2014, he released an EP called Wolves, through an independent label, and followed that up with another EP, Disfigured, in 2015. His first hit single, Human, came out in July 2016 and was followed by a debut album in March 2017. In December 2016, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man was named the BRITS Critics Choice winner for 2017. PALOMA FAITH 4 14th March, The 02 Arena Paloma Faith joins Adele in being the only two female artists to have seen their last three albums go double platinum in the UK. Paloma is touring to support her new album, The Architect, which includes the hit single ‘Crybaby’. She will be wowing the crowds, as she always does, on Wednesday 14th March 2018. BACK TO CONTENTS THEATRE & SHOWS KASABIAN 5 24th March, Royal Albert Hall Kasabian return to the Hall for the fourth time to continue their incredible support for Teenage Cancer Trust. The band, which first performed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2007, released their sixth studio album, the chart-topping For Crying Out Loud, in 2017. CHICAGO THEATRE PRODUCTION 6 26th March, Phoenix Theatre Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr will be making his British stage debut this spring, as smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn, in the multi award-winning Chicago, in London’s West End. The show is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins; book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. As the winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, it will open at the Phoenix Theatre on Monday 26th March. FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS SING “FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS” TOUR 7 29th & 30th March, The 02 Arena Chambers Touring and Metropolis Music presents the New Zealand comedy duo: Flight Of The Conchords, with their first UK & Irish headlining tour in over seven years. Due to phenomenal demand, the duo added more dates to their massive, upcoming 2018 arena tour. The comedy folk duo, comprised of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, always perform to packed houses and saw the initial run of their dates sell out in minutes. BACK TO CONTENTS EVENTS THE SCHOOL OF COOKERY AT THE GARDEN HOUSE, BEAVERBROOK 1 Every Wednesday and Saturday in 2018, Beaverbrook, Surrey This is a newly launched programme at Beaverbrook featuring an in-house team of exceptional chefs offering a variety of courses, inspired by their experience and Beaverbrook’s restaurant menus. Master the art of sushi making, pasta from scratch, chocolate work and how to cook steak or game. All Ingredients used are fresh and locally sourced, with some of the herbs and vegetables grown on the Beaverbrook Estate by Head Gardener Elliott Beveridge. Test your cooking skills, while learning from some of the best experts in the world of food for a delicious meal at the end of your lesson. DINING WITH THE STARS 2018 2 6th March, LSO St Luke’s London Dining with the Stars is a unique fine dining experience, which sees four Michelin-starred chefs cooking a mouth-watering course each to raise funds for Bobby Moore Fund’s bowel cancer charity. The two hundred guests will be treated to performances from a well-known comedian and a musical act. The line-up of chefs this year includes Tom Sellers of Restaurant Story, Michael O’Hare of The Man Behind the Curtain and Tommy Banks of The Black Swan. The evening will include a drinks reception, a four-course meal and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the chefs at work.
