BRIFF 2019 = 6 VENUES + 60 GUESTS + 72 MOVIES

One more night’s sleep before the start of the second edition of the Brussels International Film Festival!

1. Places to B

The BRIFF rolls out the red carpet through the city centre and kicks off at the UGC De Brouckère. In the sold out Grand Eldorado we launch this second edition of the BRIFF with Elia Suleiman’s It Must Be Heaven. Michel Hazanavicius, director of The Artist, will be present as guest of honour at the festival! Cinema Galeries hosts master classes on 22 and 23 June with Abel Ferrara and Belgian actor and director Bouli Lanners. At the BRIFF Village you can enjoy a drink before or after the screenings and Open Air screenings from 23 to 28 June. In Palace we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rosetta on 24 June in the presence of Emilie Dequenne, Fabrizio Rongione and the . From Bozar to Flagey you can enjoy the best films throughout the festival. On 29 June we will return to UGC to announce the winners of this second edition!

At BRIFF we will be welcoming national and international guests: Emilie Dequenne (Rosetta), Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist), Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant), Bouli Lanners (Les Géants), Claude Lelouch (Un Homme et une Femme), the brothers Dardenne (L’Enfant), Fabrizio Rongione (Deux Jours, Une Nuit), Nicolas Maury (Dix Pour Cent), Bertrand Bonello (Saint Laurent) and many more!

Discover more than 72 films at different venues in Brussels and in Open Air: Belgian avant-premières, films in competition, classics and programs curated by directors and artists!
