Annexure-A DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY EARLIER STATUS OF WATER BODIES

 A Case was filed in High court of Delhi under writ petition case No. 3502 of 2000 titled as Shri Vinod Kumar Jain Vs GNCTD &Ors for revival of water bodies in Delhi.

 Subsequently a Petition no CCP No. 458/2013 in above W P (C) was filed by the petitioner against Chief Secretary Govt. of Delhi and Ors. wherein DDA was a party as respondent no. 3.

 A Total of 156 water bodies were identified under Jurisdiction of DDA all over Delhi by Petitioner.

 A Committee was constituted by Hon’ble L.G. on dated 07.06.13 under the chairmanship of Sh. S.R. Solanki CE (DWK) to review the progress & restoration of water bodies in Dwarka.

 During the course of various meetings of this committee a list of 24 locations/ water bodies were submitted by Sh. S.S. Mann Member of Committee to Chief Engineer Dwarka. Some of these locations are common with list submitted in the Hon’ble High Court.

Status of these 24 water bodies/locations are as under

These are existing on open ground and can not be developed as permanent water bodies due to land use being residential/commercial. However these have been connected with adjoining drains by making kachha channels. 7. 1 No. Water body falling in sector-12 near Gangotri Apartment has been taken over by Archeological Survey of . 8. 2 Nos. Could not be identified at site.

MahipalPur (f) 1085 4-16 Area is dry. Development of the water body shall be taken up after the Approved drawings issued by the Competent Authority. 5. Opposite Sahara Earlier this site was under court litigation Restaurant which has been cleared. Further development work shall be taken up after approved drawing issued by the Competent Authority.

Water Bodies which can not be revived in East Zone

Khichripur(c) 587/202 The area is surrounded by unplanned residential 587/316 colonies and the area available is hardly 650 Sqm. 5. Charoli (e) 947/672 Since the land is already for institutional purpose, therefore, water body can not be developed. 6. Charoli (f) 948/672 - Do - 7. Charoli (g) 949/672 - Do - 8. Dallupura (a) 171 to 175 The entire area has been developed by DDA as Facility Centre and allotted to different agencies like Fire Station, Petrol Pump, Service Station, E.S.S.
