Further there has also been a strategic plan for making Baruipur the Metro Centre by 2025 which has been included in the Vision 2025: A perspective plan of Kolkata Metropolitan Area published in 2005.The main focus of this paper is to discuss the problems of the region and to provide way outs of development in near future through focusing on area of affordable shelter, sustainable development and traffic management. Baruipur Municipality is located in the extreme southern side of Kolkata Metropolitan Area line has connected this municipality with Kolkata and the southern part of the south 24 parganas .
