SYNTHESIS
This is the largest living town in Le Cap Bon. It is in Nabeul that we f ind the oldest and richest Islamic constructions, and the town and its outlying areas are home to the potters and stone carvers of Dar Chaabane. CURRENT STATE OF VI TALI TY AND PRESERVATION
The historic centre of Nabeul has been affected by the departure of its original inhabitants, leaving many premises vacant. It is worth mentioning that tourist activity has somewhat neglected the historic centre, concentrating on the modern town and beaches with a very good thermal s pa inf ras t ruc t ure.
