We were also blessed by the presence of Gurudev Chitrabhanuji. Board of Trustees 18 Study class students, ranging from age 7 to 15 years did Tapasya (16 points and higher) on all Eight days of Paryushan. We are very proud of the religious spirit in our children and thankful to the Chairman parents & teachers for instilling the values of Jainism into them. Rajiv Maheshwari (248)-488-1332 Anukampa Daan drive was very well coordinated by Bharti Manish Shah. With her inspiration, our Society was able to donate 800 lbs of essential items to the needy people. This was the second year Vice Chairman Shailesh Jain we had the Anukampa Daan Drive. We appreciate the efforts of Bharti. (248) 489-8849 New Pledges during the Paryushan week added up over $100K. Treasurer We are delighted to announce that we have received the sponsorship to do Sakal Sangh Parna for Nikhil Kothari 2013 and also for 2014. (734)-397-1910 Many members of JSGD observed the "Shri Das Lakshana Parva". Das Lakshana Dharam Puja and Public Relations Milap Shah Swamivatsalya were celebrated on September 30th. We would like to convey our Best Wishes and (734)-455-5260 "Shaata" for graciously completing the Parva. It was our pleasure to host 50 Yatris of Atlanta Sangh who visited us from 10/12 to 10/13 as part of Trustees their Yatra. We are thankful to approx. 40 JSGD members who welcomed and accompanied them Suresh Shah throughout their visit. Atlanta Sangh praised our efforts for support, religious activities, food, and (248)-641-8418 exceptional hospitality and presented JSGD with a plaque as a token of appreciation. We thank Yatra committee – Vastupalbhai, Vinaybhai, Varshaben and Snehaben for their support in coordinating the Jayprakash Shah 248-212-0291 proceedings during their stay. Anand Bora Ayambil Auri (10/21 to 10/29) was done by 55 members (see list in later part of the Jain Vani) thanks (248) 661-6698 to the great efforts of the Ayambil Auri coordinators – Bhartiben J. Shah and Shitalben S. Shah. Navpadjini Puja was conducted on 10/28. Ayambil Auri was followed by Parna (10/30) for all Ayambil Auri Tapasvis. We wish very good "Shaata" for all the Tapasvis. Pujari Study class students participated in Annual Day Program on 9/30. Kids ranging from 3 to 15 years Harindra Shah of age performed during the program. The Longest uncut animated shot film highlighting the issue of environmental Aroop Dwivedi directed, degradation was screened for a select crowd at the animated and edited the short film Rasmi Film Society in Malappuram, Kerala on July Aai aka A Mother a 10-min black 23, 2015. The film was shot on Nicon Cool Pix and white traditional animated 510 camera by MG Guruprasad and edited by film. The animation was done with Bineesh Muthukad. 6,000 hand drawings done by Aroop and was completed in roughly four years. The film first premiered in Bangalore Film Festival on July 21, 2014 and later on at other fests too and has won 3 best animation film awards. Most roles in a single film Harish Raj enacted 16 roles in the Kannada film Shri Sathyanarayana which was released in theatres on March 11, 2016. He essayed the role of the lead character Sathyanarayan and 15 other cameo roles with screen time ranging from 1-5 min. The film is produced and directed by Harish Raj and has Ramya Barna as the female lead. WR: Longest running film Yash Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge completed a 1,046 weeks run at the Maratha Mandir theatre on Oct 30, 2015. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead was first released in theatres on Oct 20, 1995.
