NYC BASED A COLOR GREEN AND EMERGING BOOK PUBLISHER ENDLESS EDITIONS TEAM FOR NEVER BLUE RELEASE AND GALLERY SHOW ON MARCH 27TH.

Following up on and curator A COLOR GREEN’s hybrid streetartbook release, The A Color Green Zine Vol. 1 “In Black and White” (2015), Never Blue (2016) picks up from where Green left off, curating a selection of some of New York’s finest up and coming independent, underground working in and illustration today. Available directly by Green and in store at Printed Matter, INC.’s original storefront, the first and only edition of Black and White sold out in just a few months prior to amassing a few thousand downloads on BitTorrent.

When Never Blue came around, what was originally planned as a simple follow up to Vol. 1 eventually hit a stale, all too ironic halt. A COLOR GREEN and his team of artists disconnected working on different projects, films, , art shows of their own. Intermittently, A COLOR GREEN along with a band of illustrators and a few familiar names released the Green Carpet Zine, a short and slick look at celebrity image and satire of everyone’s favorite faces.

Never Blue combines the experience and talents of Green’s last few years. Formally copublished by Endless Editions and premiering exclusively in store alongside all blue gallery exhibition at Con Artist NYC on March 27th for one night only. Featuring artwork by:

1 “AN EDITOR’S NOTE TO NEVER BLUE should be written with little time and not too much care. Like time is fleeting, a distant drum from the past plowing forward, propelling you into this all new and often blue landscape, layered with a weak footing and an ever increasing weight of the everyday life.

The ironic beauty that comes along with something like a freshly tagged NYC wall, a silent street block on a late night or the first snow storm of the year is forever plagued by the city itself aggressive, anxiousness, unapologetic. Everyday life just gets us fucking down some days, but then there are others where a little fuel to the flame gets the creative juices flowing. A COLOR GREEN and this zine collection is forever indebted, meant for New York City, all the gritty, good or bad and stripping it down this time with a mask of all blue for the winter 2016 season.

Never Blue features a selection of my favorite up and coming artists from NYC to St. Petersburg and also includes a few guest spots from Artists, Characters such as Chris RWK or Frank Ape who really inspired me to continue developing Mr. Green two years ago. A selection of street artists, illustrators and more, Never Blue is a reflection of Mr. Green’s paradoxical Picasso period, winter doldrums and depressed dreams.” A COLOR GREEN

ABOUT CON ARTIST COLLECTIVE

Con Artist is an art collective consisting of a gallery and shared workspace, started in early 2010. All items available for sale are either made or curated by members of the collective. An active community of creatives, curating group shows & social events, encouraging collaboration & inspiring imagination.

ABOUT A COLOR GREEN

A COLOR GREEN is a New York based artist, curator and collaborator; a hybrid collective of film, illustration, animation and street art often under the guise of “Mr. Green”. Known for a “Black & White”, often basic and bare bones aesthetic, Green connects his work with a crudeelement, subtle independent face of criticism popping up on your neighbor's front door or on the 3rd Avenue subway line. When Green isn’t curating and publishing books, on walls or slapping stickers, he’s busy working on films, like his upcoming “meditativehorror” short about a tonguechopping madman named MUTE. Never Blue is A Color Green’s third zine to date and first gallery show under his own orchestration.
