Brynae Thompson, Houston PAGE 15 Javelinas To Host Cross Country Meet The Texas A&M-Kingsville athletic department will host a high school invitational cross country meet Saturday, Sept. 16, on the L.E. Ramey Golf Course. The meet begins at 8 a.m. High school divisions will include the Class 6A-5A varsity boys and girls, Class 4A-1A varsity boys and girls and boys and girls junior varsity. Middle school divisions will be seventh and eighth grade boys and girls. More than a thousand of runners from throughout the state participate in the annual event, hosted by the Javelina men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams. The meet is one of two major cross country events in Kingsville this fall. The Javelina men and women will host the Lone Star Conference Butchart Gardens in Victoria Cross Country Championshiips Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia, will be part of a tour being offered for the Javelina football fans who will be going to Burnaby, Oct. 21, also on the L.E.
