Imagine Education Australia is a Vocational Education and Training centre and a privately-owned English Language Centre on the Gold Coast. In cooperation with partner education providers, Imagine Education can provide students with a pathway into high school, university, or higher learning throughout Australia. At Imagine, classes have their own room providing students with stability and the comfort of being able to make their classroom their own. All the necessary learning materials including text books for use in class are available to students. Imagine Education notebooks are provided free of charge.

Imagine Education Australia has two campuses: our Main Campus at Benowa Road; and our Southport Central Campus off Scarborough Street. Imagine’s Southport Central Campus is home to our College of English. This is where students go to learn or improve their English. Imagine’s Main Campus is home to our Vocational Educational and Training (VET) faculties. Students may apply for VET courses once they have developed adequate English language skills. Imagine’s free college bus travels between the two campuses each day to transport students to and from classes.

Imagine’s Main Campus is also conveniently located next to The Southport School’s junior campus and directly across the road from The Southport School’s middle and high school campus, perfect for students participating in Imagine’s High School Preparation program.

Our state-of-the- art campus is located only 5 minutes drive from the Southport CBD and 10 minutes drive from the famous Surfers Paradise. We are located near a major shopping centre which has a post office, chemist, supermarket and many other speciality stores.

Location and population The Gold Coast stretches along 70 kilometres of beautiful coastline and boasts one of the most beautiful hinterlands in Australia. Located just one hour drive south from Brisbane and one hour flight from Sydney, with the famous Surfers Paradise only 30 minutes drive from any destination on the Gold Coast. Approximately 500,000 people live on the Gold Coast, making it the sixth largest city in Australia. Climate and temperature The Gold Coast is famous for its sunny days and sub-tropical temperatures. Queensland is called “The Sunshine State”. On the Gold Coast, we say, “Beautiful one day... perfect the next!”.Average temperatures are 19 to 29° Celsius in summer and 9 to 21° Celsius in winter. With the emergence of a fresh cultural scene, Surfers Paradise is thriving as a diverse cafe, restaurant, fashion and nightlife hub. Broadbeach Home to one of the most pristine beaches in the world, Broadbeach is perfectly located close to restaurants, cafes, shops and nightlife and all within easy reach of the Gold Coast’s many theme parks, golf courses and other attractions. The village atmosphere offers an almost European feel as you walk the streets and choose from one of the many multi award-winning restaurants or chic coffee houses along Surf Parade, or perhaps spoil yourself at one of the trendy eateries in Broadbeach Mall. Main Beach Main Beach is a stylish and wealthy beachside area, offering a wide range of attractions. These include a fabulous beach, al fresco dining and unique shopping boutiques. Main Beach is a beautiful beach featuring a Surf Life Saving Club, beach snack bar, as well as parkland where you can enjoy a picnic.

Of an evening Main Beach is very popular with a trendy dining area situated along Tedder Avenue. From its modern cafes to exclusive restaurants and wide range of International styles, there is something for everyone. Burleigh Heads Burleigh Heads is directly in-between Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise offering a wonderful National Park where you can get to see some fabulous scenery and a range of wildlife, as well as more great Gold Coast beaches. You can also get amazing views of the surrounding coastline from Burleigh Heads, not to mention a patrolled beach providing safe fun for everyone. The beaches in Burleigh are lined with beautiful parkland, with picnic and BBQ areas for you to enjoy. Fabulous beaches and fabulous food makes the perfect blend on a sunny day. Alternatively sample the local cuisine in one of the beachfront cafes or restaurants and then wander around the great art and craft markets which are very popular. Coolangatta This southern city lies on the Queensland and New South Wales border as the gateway to South East Queensland. is located within five minutes drive of Coolangatta Beach and its accommodation and shopping district, a feature rarely seen anywhere else in the world! Homestay An important part of the study program at Imagine Education Australia is the benefit an overseas student gains from living with an Australian family. Becoming part of an Australian family assists the student with learning the English language and introduces them to the Australian way of life and culture. Students can also participate in family outings and activities with the host family.

Imagine has partnered with the Gold Coast Student Accommodation Centre to select quality host families for those students wishing to immerse themselves in English and the Australian way of life. This can be arranged with your enrolment and information regarding your Homestay will be sent to you prior to leaving your home country.

Students living in a Homestay will be provided with their own private room, meals they can share with the family, and a comfortable living environment. Students will be treated as a member of the family and are expected to help with chores around the family home.
