City of Temecula Youth Musical Theater Program Ages: 7-15 Years Disney’s The Lion King JR. has captivated audiences around the world! The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Rafiki, Nala, Scar and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again. The Lion King JR. tells the story of the epic adventure of a curious cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as a king. Along the way, Simba encounters a huge colorful cast of characters. Come join the fun and learn to sing and dance to songs such as “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” and more! There are a variety of roles, large and small, to fit all ages and levels of experience. Production is taught by TVUSD teachers. Program includes 16 weeks of rehearsals followed by performances held in the beautiful Old Town Temecula Community Theater. The audition process will begin on the first day, but no experience or materials are required. Not all roles will be required to attend each rehearsal. Japanese Friendship Garden This serene area located at the Temecula Duck Pond represents Temecula’s long- standing friendship with our Sister City - Daisen, Japan. The garden incorporates traditional elements of a Japanese garden and features a Torii gate, garden fox statues, traditional Japanese lanterns, a Japanese- style footbridge, and beautiful cherry trees Temecula Pump Track that blossom in the spring. Visit the City’s new Pump Track! On November 19th the City will open an asphalt pump track – one of very few built by cities in Southern California. The pump track is a small, looping circuit of rollers, banked turns, and “Singing in the Rain” & Dutch Tulips features that you can ride continuously without pedaling. A 20% processing fee will be deducted from all refunds or a full credit can be given on your City account to be used for a future class. NOTE: Requests for refunds or transfers for swim lessons must be requested from the Aquatics Office (2) business days prior to the first lesson date. • If a participant is unable to continue in a class after the class has begun due to a health issue, a medical excuse must be provided to obtain a credit that can be used to retake the class or applied to another class in the future. Charges for classes attended will be deducted from the credit. Please Register Early! We recommend registering early for all classes and activities. Classes must meet a minimum enrollment. If the class minimum is not met, classes will be cancelled. A full refund will be given for activities cancelled by the City. Pre-Registration and Payments Pre-registration is required for all classes and activities and is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class instructors are only authorized to accept class material fees when noted. All activity and class registration fees must be paid directly to the City of Temecula Community Services Department via the online system or in person as noted above. Waitlist If an activity or class you are interested in becomes full, we recommend enrolling onto the waitlist. Waitlist enrollments can be processed using the online registration system. If space becomes available, participants on the waitlist will be contacted in the order that they were received. Class waitlists are reviewed on a regular basis to determine if additional class sessions can be added or class sizes can be increased. Missed Classes and Class Changes Class fees will not be pro-rated or credited for missed sessions. The City reserves the right to cancel activities, substitute instructors, change locations and/or dates and times as necessary. In the event that a class has changed, the City will make every effort to contact all registered participants and provide a make-up class or a credit in the amount of the missed class if a make-up session is not available. Photo Policy Please be advised that all participants involved in any City program or event are subject to being photographed.
