Old Business

23-1718 BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE SA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE allocate up to $150.00 from Budget Increases, Account 1099, to Account 19XX to fund Circus Club for an initial budget for the 2017-2018 academic year. Second of Two Readings

Circus Club President: $140 is being requested for supplies, which would consist of balls, rings, clubs, , hoops, a unicycle, and various other types of equipment. The club is looking for both diversity and quantity of equipment to entice as many people as possible to participate in different workshops that will be held. Last week Circus Club held a hula workshop, which was successful but hampered by the necessity of using hoops that are not specifically intended for tricks. $20 is being requested for programming that will allow participants to build their own equipment, such as juggling or balls

Corey asks if Circus Club will be promoted off-campus in the future should they receive the requested funding. President answers that RIT’s Juggling Club hosts a conference every year and Circus Club hopes to bring members to meet with circus clubs of other schools to network and learn new skills. Circus Club will also go local and participate with the Geneseo School District’s Fall Fest. 23-1718, Second of Two Readings, Passes 7-0-0
