All six ‘wicking beds’ have been planted out with seedlings and students have been tending these daily. Students and staff from the (WEEC) have done an amazing job creating these beds and everyone can’t wait to reap the harvest!

In 4-12 weeks there could be a surplus of vegetables including spinach, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, beetroot and chives.

Karen says she has been impressed with the number of students taking a keen interest in spending their lunchtimes creating pathways of bark chips around the new garden beds and tending to the watering.
