NOUVELLE GABON has acquired the mining rights of Manganese Ore in Gabon in the month of June 2013. These mining rights were previously with BHP group, which had done exhaustive studies to determine the high grade manganese ore reserves. The mining lease is spread over 800 sq. km. and the mine site is fully functional with a beneficiation plant having annual capacity of 75000 TPA. NOUVELLE GABON is setting up an Ore beneficiation plant with capacity of 2 mtpa is expected to commissioned soon. NOUVELLE GABON plans to increase its production capacity in coming three years as 1st year 500,000 TPA, 2nd Year 1,000,000 TPA, and 3rd Year 1,500,000 TPA of high grade manganese ore. Mine site is located near second major city of in Gabon well connected with rail, road and international Airport. There are two major sea ports in Gabon i.e. one is located in Owendo () and other is Port-Gentil. Both the sea ports are at a distance of 760 KM away from Franceville. To have a value addition of high grade manganese ore, NOUVELLE GABON decided to install manganese alloys smelter comprising of 4 nos. X 21 MVA Submerged Electric Arc Furnaces, nearly 17 KM away from Franceville to produce Ferro Manganese and Silico Manganese. Well experienced technical teams for the smelters have started working on the project and targets to commission the project in 18 months.
