Lewis played in 23 matches • Anna Soccorsi (D) with 18 starts for the 2013 squad and was the second-leading scorer, tal- lying six goals and nine assists as a forward. Lewis has since transitioned Big Ten Sporstmanship Award (Oct. 28) to outside back, where she is one of two three-year starters on the back line, along with classmate Anna Soccorsi. • Jessica Heifetz

Leading the Attack: Four Wolverines have generated the majority of U-M’s points this season, accounting for 72 of its 94 points (77 percent). Reilly Martin leads Michigan with 22 points on seven goals and eight assists, more than doubling her point production from her freshman BIG TEN WEEKLY HONORS season (2G, 5A = 9P). Nicky Waldeck is second with a team-best eight goals and three assists. Ani Sarkisian (6G, 5A) and Abby Kastroll (5G, Sarah Jackson (Jr./So.) 4A) round out U-M’s double-digit point-getters. • Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 18)

The Wolverines have a Rutgers, 3-2, in double overtime. 5-4-0 record in one-goal matches.

• Leaders and Best: Seniors Jessica Heifetz and Madisson Lewis, as well as senior/junior Ani Sarkisian will represent Michigan as cap- tains for the 2016 season. Head coach Greg Ryan also focuses on lead- ership development with his entire senior class and encourages them all to lead in their own way.

• Three Players Missing from Starting Lineup: The Wolverines have been without three key players in the 2016 season -- junior defender Taylor Timko, redshirt freshman midfielder Kelly Sweeney and sophomore defender Sura Yekka. Timko and Sweeney both suffered from knee injuries in the spring season, with Sweeney re-injuring the same knee that held her out for the 2015 season. Yekka, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, is not competing with the Wolverines during the 2016 season, as she trains with the Canadian U-20 Women’s National Team in preparation for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. With the absence of Timko, Sweeney and Yekka, Michigan is missing players who would likely start in three of four wide positions -- Timko at left back, Yekka at right back and Sweeney at left midfield.
