Singapore is hosting the world’s top women table tennis athletes in October where the total cash prize is US$150,000 (S$181,100). Singapore’s Tianwei and Yuegu - will face stiff competition from world class players from China, Japan, Korea and other continents. Meanwhile, Li Jiawei -will face South Korea’s Park Mi Young in a wildcard playoff for qualification into the tournament. The two met in the Korean Open last year, where Li won 4-2 in the Women’s Singles Semifinals. Jiawei will take on the Korean on the first day of competition on 28th October.
