Since its founding in 1913 as a two-year normal school, Minot State University has evolved steadily in fulfilling its commitment to serving North Dakota and creating opportunities for its citizens. Today, Minot State University offers a wide array of high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs, including communication disorders, information systems, nursing, sports management, accounting, fine arts, criminal justice, the sciences, education, addiction studies, computer science, and so much more.     LOOKING BACK FY2015 ANNUAL REPORT MOVING FORWARD An annual report is, of course, all about the past year – celebrating results, acknowledging achievements and honoring hard work. Analyzing and reviewing the past year is also part of how we plan for the future – a future we must prepare our students to meet. At BSC we are always advancing, because the world is always advancing. Our job here is to prepare students for the world as it is and as it will be. Our dedicated faculty and staff must be innovative every day in order to ready our students for a future more automated, more inventive and more exciting than anything we have known. For much of human history, the world in which you died looked pretty much the same as the one in which you were born. That LOOKING BACK is no longer the case. From medical advances to social media, the rate of change in our time is exponential. Students today are growing up and being educated in a world of unprecedented MOVING change and technological advancement. Our job at BSC is to learn from our past in order to help our students meet – and FORWARD master – a future we can’t even envision. Sincerely, Larry C.
