Sewage Treatment Plant At Shiv Nadar University, the latest technology Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) have been installed. The sewage water is treated using Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) technology. The narrative revolves around Mariam and Laila and their bond in conflict- ridden, military-ruled Afghanistan in the 1960s. The novel draws from the poem by 17th century poet Saib-e-Tabrizi.

“One could not count the moons that shimmer on her roofs, Or the thousand splendid suns that hide behind her walls.”

The poem goes to indicate the beauty, power and presence of women that is often oppressed by a patriarchal society. A poetic, heart-wrenching and beautifully written novel. One cannot recommend it enough. TEAM GENESIS

Team Genesis, the Automotive team of Shiv Nadar University, Participated in the MEGA ATV Championship’ 21, held at Arambol, Goa under the guidance of Dr. Nishant Mishra.

Given the circumstances, it always was a race against time, but Team Genesis with their determination and will to succeed accomplished the unthinkable and manufactured the vehicle, Beast, to perfection in these tough times.

Team Genesis was the first-ever all- electric team participating in the competition, proving themselves as tough competition to the likes of all combustion-based all-terrain vehicles. It was the only electric ATV team from the entire country which could reach the final run.

The Beast qualified all the technical Rounds and ran the Armageddon as well as the final Endurance Race completing all the challenges thrown at it. The team was led by Shorya Govil as the Captain (and the driver), and Samrath Suri as the Vice-Captain. Dr. Nishant Mishra accompanied the team to guide, help and motivate them during the competition. — RENEGADE

Renegade, Shiv Nadar University’s first-ever inter-collegiate eSports Fest, was SURGE: A NEW conducted by Surge in collaboration with Nexus, the Gaming Society of SNU, on 8th-11th April.

Renegade offered a platform for gamers to showcase their skill in an environment WORLD which will help them improve. Over a span of four days, over a thousand players from all across the country competed in games like Rocket League, Clash Royale, Valorant, Chess, and COD Mobile along with awesome informal events like Tambola. Renegade also featured an exciting treat for those on campus, live streaming of matches in the Dining Hall!

Surge, the annual sports fest of Shiv Nadar University envisions bringing about a new sporting wave for the students of SNU and also for the colleges in the Delhi-NCR region. Surge strives to promote the sports culture to create a magnificent event that maps and our university. STUDENT LENS
