Trainee Enabler Job Description

Duration: Wednesday 24th July to 30st August 2019

Hours: 16 days over the summer holiday period approx. 9.15am – 5.10pm

Salary: £4.50p.h

Location: Successful candidates will be located at Thinktank, Museum & Art Gallery or our Heritage Sites

Job Role:

You will receive on-the-job training to develop transferable skills, whilst also being an important part of the Museum Enabler team over the busy summer period. You will ensure that all visitors enjoy their visit and help enhance their experience through events and activities.

At Thinktank, you will be working alongside the Museum Enabler team. You will be trained to explain the science and history of objects and exhibits as well as assisting with activities.

At Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery you will work alongside the Museum Enabler team showcasing exhibits such as Home of Metal and assisting with activities for the public.

At our Heritage Sites you will support exciting summer holiday events and activities across , Blakeley Hall, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, Mill and while receiving training in our food and retail outlets. Successful applicants will be required to travel between different heritage sites as required.
