A Spring In Our Step This November. More All-Star Names Announced For 10’s Coverage Of The 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival.

It’s the four-day racing spectacular that has all eyes on Flemington Racecourse, and is delighted to reveal its team of hosts and reporters covering all that Melbourne does best: celebrity, fashion and entertainment.

With the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival just 62 days away, it all begins with AAMI Victoria Derby Day on Saturday, 2 November, followed by Lexus Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, 5 November, Kennedy Oaks Day on Thursday, 7 November and Seppelt Wines Stakes Day on Saturday, 9 November. Network 10 A CBS Company Network 10’s broadcast will be anchored by coverage hosts Matt White and Roz Kelly, with Francesca Cumani spearheading the racing team.

Making her mark as Fashion Reporter is Anna Heinrich who along with Roving Reporters Kate Peck and Beau Ryan, will be covering all things celebrity and fashion in -famous Birdcage. Flemington’s premium marquee enclosure, The Birdcage is the playground of the rich and famous and is the place to be seen. They’ll also be dropping by The Park, home of ’s largest and most prestigious fashion event, Myer Fashions on the Field.

With The Park set for a stellar line up of entertainment, music fans and racegoers alike are in for a treat. Scott Tweedie will be on hand as Roving Reporter so viewers at home don’t miss a thing.

Network 10’s head of sport, Matt White said: “A huge part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival is the fashion, the celebrity spotting and all the glitz and glamour that truly makes it one of the best events on the Australian sporting calendar. “You’ve already heard about our incredible team of racing experts, and now I’m thrilled that we have assembled such a talented bunch of reporters to bring viewers all the colourful action from around the track.”

Network 10’s on-air team includes the previously announced, Francesca Cumani (Racing Host), Peter Moody (Expert Commentator), David Gately (Form Expert), Michael Felgate (Racing Reporter), Caty Price (Racing Reporter) and Brittany Taylor (Horseback Interviewer).

Matt White – Coverage Host and Head of Sport

Matt White began his career in newspapers and continued to forge his journalistic talents in radio at Triple M before moving into television with Network 10.

In 1994, Matt hosted his first major sporting event: The Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada. The coverage won a TV Week Logie Award for Most Outstanding Sporting Broadcast.

Matt went on to become the face of sport at Network 10, hosting Sports Tonight for 10 years and reporting and commentating on the V8 Supercars, Formula One, MotoGP, Golf, AFL, Rugby World Cup, Uncle Toby’s Ironman Series, NBL and Swimming.

In 2004, Matt joined , hosting and commentating on the Athens Olympic Games, 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Network 10 Bledisloe Cup, Tri-Nations Rugby Tests, the Australian Tennis Open and The A CBS Company Melbourne Cup.

He was host and chief commentator of Seven’s V8 Supercars coverage, as well as host of , presenter of Carols In The Domain and co-host of The Afternoon News.

In 2014, Matt announced his return to Network 10 to join the coverage of the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, the V8 Supercars, Formula One and popular motorsport panel show RPM.

Matt was appointed to the role of Head of Sport in 2018 and was heavily involved in the Network securing the Melbourne Cup Carnival broadcast rights from 2019-2023.

Roz Kelly – Coverage Host

Roz Kelly presents the national weekend sports bulletin. She is also cohost of much-loved sports news show, Sports Tonight, and is a prominent member of the 10 Sports team.

A multi-award-nominated reporter and presenter, Roz has covered many of the world’s biggest sporting events. From the London Olympics to the Tour de France, Rugby World Cup, The Ashes, Commonwealth Games and World Surf League, Roz will now add host of the Melbourne Cup Carnival to her impressive resume.

After growing up in remote mining towns throughout Australia, Roz’s love for horses started at a young age when she began riding as a hobby. With her passion for the sport deeply embedded into her life, Roz went on to co-own a John O’Shea trained racehorse, Carmine King, from 2011 to 2013.

Roz completed a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of the Sunshine Coast and began her media career in local newsrooms before going on to hold positions as a reporter and presenter at , Fox Sports and . Roz joined Network 10 in 2014 and has since covered the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, the 2014-15 KFC Big Bash League season as boundary rider and the 2016-17 and 2017-18 KFC Big Bash League seasons as co-host.

Roz resides in with husband Morne Morkel and sons Arias and Leo.

Anna Heinrich

Anna Heinrich is one of Australia’s most popular media personalities.

Coming to national attention on the first season of The Bachelor Australia, Anna has gone on to host The Long Weekend for the Seven Network and appear alongside Kyle Sandilands on Network 10’s Trial By Kyle.

Having appeared as fashion commentator for Today Extra and E!, Anna is synonymous with all things fashion, and will make her mark in 10’s coverage for the Network 10 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival. A CBS Company Anna supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) and Youth of the Streets; and has a graduate law degree from UTS, and a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Anthropology and Gender studies from Sydney University.

Anna’s first book Jude’s Food will be released in October this year.

Scott Tweedie

Born in Brisbane, Scott Tweedie made his entry into television in 2009 when he became the host of the hugely popular children series Prank Patrol. Alongside his cheeky band of Ninja’s, Scott’s charisma and love of a laugh saw him become a household name.

After the success of Prank Patrol, Scott went on to host ABC3 youth shows, Splatalot, W.A.C (World Animal Championships) and 3 on 3, a nationwide travel series.

In 2011, Scott was selected as the host of The Loop. Working alongside his work- wife, Olivia Phyland, the pair take a look at the latest music videos from Australia and around the world and feature movie reviews, viral videos and trending tweets.

Scott is a roving reporter for and earlier this year hosted I’m A Celebrity… Saturday Schoolies from South Africa.

Scott is an ambassador for the Australian charity, Project Futures, who are committed to stopping human trafficking both locally and abroad.

Kate Peck

Kate Peck’s career spans across all the categories she loves: fashion, entertainment, music, adventure, pop culture, modelling and sport.

Kate first hit the limelight as a contestant on Australia’s Search For A Supermodel and since then, her vibrant energy and unique personality have allowed her to take her career in many different directions.

Kate spent six years studying and modelling internationally and when living in New York, travelled the world for top brands and walking countless Fashion Week catwalks in Dubai, London and Tokyo.

Originally a Melbourne girl, life was hard to live without a sprinkling of horse racing. Family BBQ’s on Melbourne Cup day were always a huge highlight and with sport deeply embedded in to her life, it wasn’t long before Kate went on to be an Network 10 ambassador for Myer, a judge at Fashions on the Field and a spokesperson for GH. A self-confessed rev-head, Kate has worked with some of the biggest names in the motorsport business including Mark Webber, Mick Doohan and Charley Boorman and has also worked with established brands such as Harley Davidson, Red Bull and BMW.

In 2016, Kate joined Network 10 as a regular part of Supercars coverage and a reporter for motorsport panel show RPM.

Beau Ryan

Former star, Beau Ryan, has burst out of the scrum and onto Australian television screens.

Known for his cheeky sense of humour, Beau won himself a legion of fans as a presenter and reporter on the NRL Footy Show. Chatting to everyone from A-list celebrities to everyday Aussies on the street, Beau’s hilarious interviews and skits on The Footy Show brought him to the attention of entertainment industry icons leading a career into radio and on stage and screen.

A familiar voice to Sydneysiders, Beau has been a regular member of the Kyle and Jackie O breakfast team on KIIS FM, filling in for King Kyle when required. Beau has also tried his hand at acting, appearing in stage show productions and in 2018 appeared as a small-town rugby league star in the Australian film, Chasing Comets.

2019 saw Beau kick off the year as roving reporter for Chris & Julia’s Sunday Night Takeaway and in June was announced as the host of the forthcoming 10 series . He is super pumped to be involved in 10’s coverage of the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival and hopes to drop 35kg between now and November so he can get a ride in the Cup.
