III IV Abstract During the last couple decades video game consoles and arcades have been subjected to the unexpected, swift development and spread of mobile gaming. What is it though that allowed physical platforms to yet maintain the market share they have over these new and widely accessible online resources? The aim of this thesis is to provide a deeper understanding of the concept of innovation in the quickly developing world of video games. The analysis is carried out with qualitative methods, one based on technological development in the context of business history and one on knowledge exchange and networking. Throughout this examination it has been possible to explore what kind of changes and innovations were at first applied by this industry and then extended to other fields. Some examples would be motion control technology, AR (Augmented Reality) or VR (Virtual Reality), which were originally developed for the video game industry and eventually were used in design, architecture or in the medical field. -

Farhad Shokraneh2 Methods: We surveyed all relevant trials reliably identified in the Cochrane Schizophrenia Group’s Yumeen Syed3 comprehensive register of trials by authors working independently. Data were extracted regarding the size of the trial, interventions, outcomes and how well the intervention was described. Muhammad Ayub1 Results: eMedia delivery of interventions is increasingly frequent in trials relevant to the Clive E Adams4 care of people with schizophrenia. Zároveň se pokouší přinést odpověď na otázku, jaké faktory ovlivňují úspěch či neúspěch formátu, který se chce ve své oblasti stát dominantním. V práci se rovněž zamýšlím nad vlivem pornografie jakožto významným faktorem ovlivňující komerční úspěch (audiovizuálního) datového média. Controlled Vocabularies PBCore Controlled Vocabularies are sets of predefined, community-standardized terms for concepts related to audiovisual and broadcast collections. These terms can be used as drop-down value lists in a database or spreadsheet to ensure consistency in terminology, formatting and spelling, both internally and when exchanging information with outside organizations. PBCore Controlled Vocabularies include the agreed-upon spelling and formatting for each term, a definition, and a Unique Resource Identifier (or URI). The vocabularies provide only the terms that the community has determined are most widely used and shared, and are not 100% comprehensive. These are the things we know through direct sensory perception of our environment. We know what some things look, smell, feel, sound, or taste like because we person- ally have seen, smelled, felt, heard, or tasted them. One of the authors of this text knows, for example, that “Rocky Mountain oysters” (bull testicles) are especially chewy because he tried them once at a country and western bar. In short, some of what we know is based on first-hand, unmediated experience. But the things we know through direct sensory perception make up a very small percentage of the total things we know. SCE ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM Ken Kutaragi, Chairman and Group CEO and Kaz Hirai, President and Group COO Tokyo, November 30, 2006 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) today announced the appointment of Ken Kutaragi, President and Group CEO, as Chairman and Group CEO, and Kaz Hirai, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), as President and Group COO of SCEI, effective December 1, 2006. The company also announced the appointment of Akira Sato, member of the board of directors, as Vice Chairman, and David Reeves, President and CEO and Co-COO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), as Deputy President of SCEI in addition to his current responsibility at SCEE, also effective December 1, 2006. Masaru Kato will remain in his current position as Deputy President and Group CFO. Ken Kutaragi will continue to oversee the entire SCE Group as chief executive officer, and will fully exercise his power to reinforce and further accelerate the development of the PlayStation® business. Kaz Hirai joined SCEA in 1995, and was first appointed Executive Vice President and COO in 1996, President and COO in 1999 and President and CEO in 2003, and during these years, Hirai has made outstanding contributions in growing PlayStation and PlayStation®2 to the number one computer entertainment platforms in North America.
