For seven years Telenor has been one of the sponsors behind the concert, and this year Telenor is stepping up to be the only global sponsor of the event. “We are proud to continue our relationship with the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, and we are delighted that the concert is revitalized. The move to Telenor Arena gives a wider audience the opportunity to participate in this great experience,” said Telenor President and CEO Sigve Brekke.

Making the concert more inclusive

Telenor Arena will play host to the Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11, 2015. It is the first time the prestigious concert will be held in 's largest indoor arena. In addition to increased capacity, the concert will also offer lower prices with tickets starting at US$50. “The Nobel Peace Prize Concert is an event that many Norwegians are proud of and has a large global reach. New measures have been put in place to make the concert more accessible to the public in Norway, whilst at the same time more spectacular on television,” says Olav Njølstad, Chairman of the Nobel Peace Prize - Research and Information AS and director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute. “Because the seating capacity has significantly increased, we also have the opportunity to sell tickets in lower price categories. The Nobel Peace Prize Concert will be an engaging, accessible event,” says Njølstad. While tickets have been made more affordable, the exclusive feel of the event remains. This is the twenty-second year the Nobel Peace Prize Concert is organized as a musical celebration in honor of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. For the past 15 years, the concert has been broadcasted to a global audience and has reached potentially 350 million households between 80 and 120 countries.

Several top-performers

The stage is set for top international stars. The organizers, however, have decided to keep their cards close to their chests. “I can reveal that we are working with several exciting artists and cannot wait until we can be more specific,” smiles Njølstad.
