A hole-in-one by Cat retiree Sam Caldwell was one of the highlights of this year’s Around the Green Golf Scramble. Over 500 employees and retirees teed off on August 24 and 25 at WeaverRidge Golf Club. “Now in its eighth year, we are pleased to see that this event continues to be as popular as it was in the beginning,” said Jennifer Zammuto, Global Government and Corporate Affairs Division. “We had a great crowd, good weather, and extraordinary golf with our coworkers and retired friends. Plus Sam’s hole-in-one on Saturday morning made the event even more exciting.” Jennifer, along with Jim Baumgartner and Amy Manwaring, hosted the awards ceremonies. At the conclusion of each scramble, golfers socialized and shared stories while enjoying a meal and the awards presentation. Besides the awards for the Flight winners and the hole promotions, a new award was presented to the foursome in each session that had the highest score. (Results also on the Sam Caldwell Drives for Top Honors at Around the Green Golf Scramble Social Activities website.)

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS BUS TRIP Almost 250 employees, retirees, and their guests headed for St. Louis on September 9 to see the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Milwaukee Brewers. Jon Miller, Global Information Services, commented “This was the first Cardinal game for my twin daughters, Tera & Taylor. I can remember going with my parents and the sights, sounds, and smells of the ballpark still stick with me to this day. The girls loved the trip, and said the game was awesome and they enjoyed the door prizes and bingo on the bus! We had a beautiful day for and even managed to bring home a Cardinals victory.” The Cardinals won the 10-inning game with a score of 5-4.
