Term 1 — Week 1 PUBLIC SCHOOL Issue 1 A little school achieving big things Thursday, 30 January 2020 Coming Events: Welcome to Term 1, Week 1 Week 1 Congratulations to all our students for the wonderful start to the school year. All Wednesday 29 January students look spectacular in their school uniforms. A special welcome to Nicholas - All Students Return Quade who commenced Kindergarten yesterday. Thursday 30 January - Middle School At this stage our classes are set up as follows; Mrs. Quade will teach the Infants class Friday 31 January Monday-Thursday and I will teach them on Friday. We were expecting Mrs. Haworth to - Library return for the start of the school year, but unfortunately she is unwell. Mrs. Rebecca - Sport - Gardening Green will be teaching the Primary class with Mrs. Jan Hart teaching Stage 2 on Thursday. We wish Mrs. Haworth a speedy recovery and hope to see her back soon. I Week 2 will also be teaching PDHPE to both classes, as well as taking on the role of Learning and Thursday 6 February Support teacher. Ms. Shanay Imrie will be our Senior Administration Manager (SAM) - Middle School this year. Friday 7 February - School Swimming Carnival Gardening will commence tomorrow. Please ensure your child has a hat. The school has Coming Soon: gloves for the students to wear which were donated last year.

Monday 17 February Our swimming carnival is next Friday, February 7. A permission note will come home - Touch base with teacher meetings today. We are looking forward to seeing you at the carnival. Some of you may consider volunteering as timekeepers. Friday 28 February - Assembly 2pm Thank you to students who made our 2019 presentation evening such a success. I’m sure you enjoyed the evening. Congratulations to our award winners and our 2020 school leaders. Thank you also to the P & C for catering. A wonderful night was had by all!

We are planning our ‘Touch base with the teacher’ meetings early this term. More details will come home over the coming weeks.

Our grounds look so lovely with our green grass thriving. A big thank you to Wayne and Karlynda Oxenbridge who donated some fertiliser and a spreader for Mark Contact Us to use over the holiday break. I know the children enjoy the grassed area of the playground.

Swimming Carnival

Don’t forget your swimmers, towel, sunscreen, Mobile Resource Unit goggles, sunhat, t-shirt, recess, lunch and a playgroup will recommence on: water bottle.
