American superstar comedian Louis C.K. will make his debut Australian performances this September. He will be performing in Sydney at the inaugural Just For Laughs At Sydney Opera House and also at the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne. This is a very special opportunity to see one of the best comedians in the world and these shows will definitely sell out!

Known for his regular TV appearances on the Late Show with , , Late Show with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno he has also had his own television series including the Emmy Nominated Shameless (2007) and (2010) and two comedy specials on . In addition to these appearances he has also been a writer for Letterman, O’Brien and Chris Rock (for which he won an Emmy Award in 1999)

Respected and considered a true original, C.K. has become the comedian’s comedian, admired by his peers as much as by his audiences. Recently he appeared on the HBO special Talking Funny alongside three fellow stand up legends, , Chris Rock and – discussing how jokes and comedy routines develop and take shape.

He will present an unflinching look at the absurdities of hitting middle age, in this brutally honest comedic confessional, he will address the trials and tribulations of being a divorcee and raising children as a single parent, setting the tone up front by stating “I know too much about life to have any optimism!”

Louis C.K., who began stand up in 1984 as a 17 year old becoming part of the burgeoning Boston stand up comedy scene is now an award winning stand up comedian, actor, writer and director.
