FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JUNE 10, 2021 MacKINNON, MATTHEWS AND McDAVID VOTED HART TROPHY FINALISTS NEW YORK (June 10, 2021) – Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon, Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews and Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid are the three finalists for the 2020-21 Hart Memorial Trophy, awarded “to the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team,” the National Hockey League announced today. Members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association submitted ballots for the Hart Trophy at the conclusion of the regular season, with the top three vote-getters designated as finalists. The winners of the 2021 NHL Awards presented by Bridgestone will be revealed during the Stanley Cup Semifinals and Stanley Cup Final, with exact dates, format and times to be announced. Following are the finalists for the Hart Trophy, in alphabetical order: Nathan MacKinnon, C, Colorado Avalanche MacKinnon placed fourth in the NHL with a career-high 1.35 points per game (20-45—65 in 48 GP) to propel the Avalanche’s top-ranked offense to the franchise’s third Presidents’ Trophy (also 1996-97 and 2000-01). Postgame Notes & Quotes Los Angeles Kings 7, Colorado Avalanche 1 Thursday, March 22, 2018 Anze Kopitar registered four goals for the first time in his career, matching the Kings record for most goals in a game last reached by Luc Robitaille on Nov. 25, 1993 at Quebec. Kopitar recorded his fourth career hat trick and first since Feb. 12, 2016 at New York Rangers. Nathan MacKinnon extended his point streak to a career-long 14 games, the longest active streak in the NHL and third-longest this season behind Taylor Hall (19) and Patrik Laine (15). It’s the longest point streak by an Avalanche player since Paul Stastny’s 20-game run in 2006-07. Mikko Rantanen extended his point streak to eight games, matching his career-long streak set earlier this year (Dec. 12-29). He also became the fourth Finnish player to register 80 points in a season (Jari Kurri, Teemu Selanne, Olli Jokinen) and the fifth Finnish-born player to reach the mark (Tomas Sandstrom was born in Finland but represented Sweden in international competition). MacKinnon (9g, 12a) and Rantanten (7g, 14a) each have 21 points this month, tied for the league lead in scoring in March. Nikita Zadorov recorded a career high 15 hits, an Avalanche record and the most by any NHL player in a single game since 2005-06. The Avalanche was 1-for-2 on the penalty kill, just the ninth time Colorado has surrendered a power-play goal at home in 2017-18. The Avs are 107-for-116 (92.2%) on the penalty kill on home ice, the top-ranked PK unit in the league.

  • Aho, Laine Ja Puljujärvi Nähdään Elokuussa Oulussa, Ensi Vuonna Raumalla
Aho, Laine ja Puljujärvi nähdään elokuussa Oulussa, ensi vuonna Raumalla JUTUT – 30.06.2017 klo 21:51 — Kimmo Mäkeläinen Sebastian Aho on nähty Äijänsuolla viimeksi helmikuussa 2016. Kuva: Pekka Lehmuskallio Liiga Alumni ja Oulun Kärpät järjestävät elokuussa hyväntekeväisyystapahtuman, jota tähdittävät lukuisat entiset ja nykyiset NHL-pelaajat. Raksilan jäällä nähdään tuolloin esimerkiksi Patrik Laine, Sebastian Aho, Jesse Puljujärvi, Jari Kurri ja Veli-Pekka Ketola. – Silloin saattaa olla mahdollista nähdä Patrik Laine ja Teemu Selänne samassa joukkueessa, Alumnin Tukisäätiön puheenjohtaja Juha Rantasila vihjaa. Tapahtumasta on tarkoitus tehdä vuosittainen. Tapahtuman ajankohdaksi on kaavailtu Pitsiturnauksen jälkeistä lauantaita.

John K. Samson PO Box 83‐971 Corydon Avenue Winnipeg, Manitoba R3M 3S3 February 23, 2013 Mr. Bill Hay, Chairman of the Board, and Members of the Selection Committee The Hockey Hall of Fame 30 Yonge Street Toronto, Ontario M5V 1X8 Dear Mr. Bill Hay, Chairman of the Board, and Members of the Selection Committee, Hockey Hall of Fame; In accordance with the Hockey Hall of Fame’s Policy Regarding Public Submission of Candidates Eligible for Election into Honoured Membership, please accept this bona‐fide submission putting forth the name Reggie Joseph Leach for your consideration. A member of the Berens River First Nation, Reggie Joseph Leach was born in 1950 in Riverton, Manitoba. While facing the injustices of racism and poverty, and playing on borrowed skates for much of his childhood, Leach’s terrific speed and honed shooting skills earned him the nickname “The Riverton Rifle.” He went on to become one of the most gifted and exciting hockey players of his generation. His pro‐hockey accomplishments are truly impressive: two‐time NHL All Star, Conn Smythe Trophy winner (the only non‐goalie from a losing team to ever win it), 1975 Stanley Cup winner, 1976 Canada Cup winner, and Regular Season Goal Scoring Leader, to name a few. His minor league record is remarkable, too. As a legendary member of the MJHL/WCJHL Flin Flon Bombers, Mr. Leach led the league in goal‐scoring twice, and was placed on the First All‐ Star team every season he played. The statistical analysis in the pages that follow, prepared by Phil Russell of Dozen Able Men Data Design (Ottawa, Ontario), makes a clear and persuasive case that Mr.
