TOP 10 AGAIN, AND AGAIN On September 10, 2013 Midland University moved up the rankings from No. 13 to No. 8 in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll. The Warriors then held a Top 10 rating for 18 straight releases of the poll before falling to No. 11 on October 14, 2014. In 2015, Midland was ranked in the Top 10 in 11 of 12 released of the poll, only slipping outside to No. 11 on one occasion. The Warriors held the No. 2 position in the October 13th release, marking the highest ranking in program history. Midland has been ranked in the Top 25 Poll in all but one MIDLAND STUDENT SECTION release since Week 1 of the 2012 season (Final Poll).

OUT OF HARMS WAY Outside hitter Ashlee Harms will close out her stellar Warrior career at the National Tournament. She ranked seventh in the GPAC this season with 356 kills, tied for eighth with 93 blocks and was 13th with a .226 hitting percentage. Harms enters Nationals ranked fourth all-time in Midland history with 1,131 kills. She is also in the Warrior Top 10 in block assists (1st – 337), hitting percentage (7th – .220) and solo blocks (T8th – 43). Her 356 kills and 81 block assists this year each rank 10th all-time in a single season at Midland. The three-time All-GPAC First Team representative eclipsed the 1,000 kill mark for her career on October 7th vs. Wesleyan University. Harms has been named the GPAC Volleyball Attacker 2015 SENIOR CLASS of the Week four times in her career. A model student-athlete, Harms has twice been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-Distrtict NO SENIORITIS Team for her combined effort in the classroom and on the court. At Creighton, Giesselmann served as Creighton’s recruiting coordinator while working heavily with individual on-court training. During his time at Creighton, NAIA National Coach of the Year Giesselmann worked closely with and helped develop the institution’s first two All- 2000 Americans at middle blocker: Kelly Goc and Jessica Hotus. With his recommendations, Creighton offered and signed the top prep players in Nebraska and the Midwest to Region Coach of the Year complete eight top-notch recruiting classes. Creighton’s seven selections to the MVC 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001 & 2013 All-Freshman Team in the last seven years are tied for second-most leaguewide, and the Jays became one of two schools in league history with multiple All-Freshman team GPAC Coach of the Year picks in consecutive seasons (2004 and 2005). 2013, 2015 Prior to his service at Creighton, Giesselmann was Head Coach at College of St. Mary from 1994-2001. VENDITTE 5TH SEASON Venditte enters her fifth season on staff with the Midland University volleyball team in 2015. She began as a member of the coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant for two season before being added as a full-time assistant. Venditte also oversee the women’s strength and conditioning programs at Midland University. She has twice been named the GPAC Volleyball Assistant Coach of the Year (2013 & ‘15), and was named the Assistant Coach of the Year by the AVCA for the West Central Region in 2013. Venditte is a graduate of Millard West High School and also played college volleyball at Dana College where she lettered three times. Venditte is a 2011 graduate of Midland University in K-12 Physical Education. Venditte is currently finishing her Masters of Educa- tion at Midland University in Leadership and Learning. Venditte resides in Fremont, Neb.

RICHARDSON 6TH SEASON Rod Richardson begins his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Warriors. Prior to coaching at Midland, Richardson was a volunteer coach at Creighton University in 2009. Richardson has also been an assistant coach at College of St. Mary for 14 years, during which time the Flames qualified for the national tournament in eight of those seasons. Richardson has also been an assistant coach at Omaha Westside High School. During his tenure at Westside, the Warriors qualified for the state tournament five times. A native of Iowa City, Iowa, Richardson holds a Masters Degree in Environment Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with Highest Distinction, from the University of Iowa. Richardson works at HDR in Omaha, an architecture and engineering firm, as Computer Systems Analyst and Project Manager. Richardson and his wife Shirley live in Omaha. Richardson gets the most joy out of coaching volleyball from seeing his former players continue in the sports as players and coaches.

MONGAN 6TH SEASON Nate Mongan begins his sixth season as an assistant coach for the Warriors. Mongan has experienced success coaching the past eight years. In addition to his coaching duties at Midland, Mongan coaches for the Premier Volleyball Club in Omaha. He has coached 16, 17 and 18 year-olds and has qualified his teams for the Junior Olympic National Championships each year since 2005. This past summer, Mongan’s 17 year-old team placed 5th at the Junior Olympic National Volleyball Championships and had one player named to the 17 American All Tournament Team. Mongan has also coached in the high school ranks. He coached Mead High School in 2006 and 2007 guiding the Raiders to a state tournament semifinals appearance in Class D1. Mongan and his wife Sarah have two young boys. The Mongan’s reside in Mead. Nate is the Claims Manager for The Hartford Insurance Company in Omaha and his wife Sarah is a veterinarian in a small animal practice in Omaha.

FARLEY 1ST SEASON After a stellar playing career, Farley joins the Warrior coaching staff for the 2015 season. The two-time All-American selection never missed a match in her four-year career at Midland and amassed a 103-38 record in a Warrior uniform. Farley set a new Midland single-season record for set assists during the 2013 campaign (1,701) and also holds the school record with 5,351 career assists. The four-time All-GPAC First Team recipient was named to the 2013 NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team after helping guide Midland to its first-ever National Tournament appearance which culminated with a trip to the ‘Elite Eight’. Farley was also named the Honorary Captain of the 2014 All-Nebraska NAIA Volleyball Team by the Omaha World-Herald. Upon graduating in the spring of 2015, Farley was awarded the prestigious Bracker Outstanding Athlete Award, given annually to the best all-around Midland female student-athlete based on her athletic ability, contribution, responsibility, attitude, dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, spirit and character. Farley currently teaches first grade at Bell Field Elementary School in Fremont, Nebraska.
