PRAMAC Press PRESS KIT ABOUT PRAMAC, established in 1966 by the Campinoti family, produces and sells power generation systems and material handling equipment primarily under the Pramac and Lifter by Pramac brands. The company, which is headquartered in Siena, Italy, divides its activities into two main business sectors: POWER - stationary and mobile generators for a variety of commercial and industrial applications primarily sold under the Pramac brand, as well as portable generators used for numerous residential, light construction and recreational purposes. MATERIAL HANDLING – complete line of warehouse material handling equipment sold mainly under the Lifter by Pramac brand. Selling into over 180 countries through a broad distribution network, PRAMAC employs over 600 people across its 5 manufacturing plants and 14 commercial branches worldwide. ORIGINS PRAMAC's history begins in 1966, when the Campinoti family founded L’Europea, a construction equipment company focused mainly on the Italian market. In the mid 1980s the product range was expanded to include the production of generator sets and pallet and lift trucks, through the acquisition of the company Lifter S.r.l. The 1990s were characterized by significant industrial and commercial expansion, culminating with the merger between L'Europea and Lifter S.r.l. From then onwards PRAMAC has been expanding its activity in the energy and material handling sector, continuously growing on a global base. NOWADAYS PRAMAC today means ENERGY GENERATION with more than 50 years of experience thanks to prestigious collaborations and important agreements signed with major players such as Ansaldo Energia S.p.a., Musco Lighting and Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation, among others. PRAMAC has been improving its expertise over the years not only designing, manufacturing and installing a complete range of products, but also providing tailored solutions that can be adapted to every specific requirement. With the aim of pursuing further growth opportunities in the global power generation market, after the acquisition, in 2008, of the brand Powermate - one of the main manufacturers of power generators in the US – PRAMAC signed, in 2016, an agreement with GENERAC – north America market leader of a wide range of power generation equipment and other engine powered products . Together the two companies employ more than 4,000 employees and represent the third group in the world for the production of generators. PRAMAC RACING As one of the most experienced teams competing in the MotoGP World Championship, PRAMAC started out as a Honda Team in 2002. Thanks to the strong commercial relationship with the historical engine supplier for electric generators and important collaborations with some of the best bike manufacturers in the world, the PRAMAC RACING team has obtained significant results, never holding back when facing new challenges. Over the past 15 years, riders of various nationalities and caliber have defended the colors of Pramac; riders who have contributed to the modern history of MotoGP, among them: Tetsuya Harada, Max Biaggi, Makoto Tamada, Alex Barros, Toni Elias, Loris Capirossi, Hector Barbera, Randy De Puniet, Aleix Espargarò, Mika Kallio, Ben Spies, Andrea Iannone, Yonny Hernandez. In 2005 the Team made an important advance by starting a long and fruitful collaboration with Ducati: the first step on the path to become a MotoGP team “Made in Italy”. The agreement between Ducati Corse and Pramac Racing, signed one year later, led to the creation of the Ducati Junior Team. The strong and longest cooperation with this famous bike brand based on sport and technical development, is both challenging and stimulating and means promoting young riders coming from lower categories by cultivating their talent. The most important and recent examples are the riders Andrea Iannone, Scott Redding and last but not least Danilo Petrucci, who will ride the official Ducati Desmosedici GP in the 2017 season. www.pramacracing.com MARKETING & COMMUNICATION OFFICE Località Il Piano 53031 Casole d'Elsa, Siena (Italy) I Phone: +39 0577951 I Email: [email protected] - [email protected] KEY FEATURES 1966 Founding date > 2.000.000 Portable generators sold > 250.000 Stationary generators sold > 1500 Special project realized > 1.500.000 Material handling sold 5 Manufacturing plants 14 Operating Branches 180 Presence in different countries > 600 Personnel Sales revenue (€ m) 189 (+8% increase vs previous year) CONTACTS MARKETING & COMMUNICATION OFFICE Località Il Piano 53031 Casole d'Elsa, Siena Italy GPS: N 43 22.119, E 11 03.767 (43.368650, 11.062783) Phone: +39 05779651 Email: [email protected] I [email protected] Web: www.pramac.com MARKETING & COMMUNICATION OFFICE Località Il Piano 53031 Casole d'Elsa, Siena (Italy) I Phone: +39 0577951 I Email: [email protected] - [email protected] .

  • Press Information
PRESS INFORMATION MICHELIN COMBAT THE ARAGÓN HEAT AS MARQUEZ TRIUMPHS Michelin witnessed its range of MotoGP™ tyres produce a strong performance during today’s Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón from the MotorLand Aragón circuit in Spain as the heat rose on raceday before Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) took victory. Temperatures soared to their highest point of the weekend as the riders lined up on the grid, causing many teams to make last minute changes to their chosen selection of MICHELIN Power Slicks, in readiness to combat the heat. As the race began the track thermometer was reading 45°C - higher than it has ever been at the Aragón circuit for a MotoGP event - and following all the changes, five of the six tyre compounds were now featured in different combinations throughout the field. Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) was on pole after an exciting qualifying session on Saturday, which saw him take the first grid spot in the very last moment of the session, unfortunately for the Spaniard his race was short-lived as he crashed out on the first corner. This immediately handed the lead to his team-mate Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team), a position he held for the next 13-laps, before coming under pressure from Marquez. The pair then duelled out the remaining 10-laps of the 23-lap race, with the lead frequently changing hands as they pushed the Michelin tyres to the limit on a track that now had diminished grip levels due to the increased heat. Marquez was using a hard front and soft rear pairing, whilst Dovizioso had gone for a hard/hard combination and the two battled it out for the final laps as the characteristics of their respective bikes gave them the opportunity to use different tyres, but still extract maximum performance.

  • Ducati Panigale V4
DUCATI PANIGALE V4 The 2020 version of the Panigale V4 boosts performance even further and takes track riding to the next level for amateurs and pros alike. A series of refinements make for an easier, more user-friendly, less fatiguing ride while simultaneously making the bike faster not just on individual laps but over entire timed sessions. Ducati and Ducati Corse engineers have crunched the feedback/data numbers from customers all over the world and Superbike World Championship events. Their analysis has led to a series of aerodynamic, chassis, electronic control and Ride by Wire mapping changes: designed to increase stability and turn-in speed, these changes make it easier to close corners and ensure riders enjoy more confident throttle control. The Panigale V4 is now equipped with content taken from the V4 R. For example, the aerodynamic package provides enhanced airflow protection and improves overall vehicle stability, enhancing confidence. The Front Frame, instead, modifies stiffness to give better front-end 'feel' at extreme lean angles. What's more, the bike includes DTC and DQS up/down EVO 2 strategies. Thanks to a new 'predictive' control strategy, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2 significantly improves out-of-the-corner power control; Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, instead, shortens up-shift times, allowing sportier high-rev gear shifts (over 10,000 rpm) and boosting shift stability during aggressive acceleration and cornering. To hone bike balance throughout the ride, changes to the suspension set-up have focused on redefining suspension stiffness, center of gravity height and chain force angle.

The move was made to try to improve safety by reducing cornering speeds, and in a marginal way for cost reasons; the winner was decided by bid.[1] Michelin, one of the two tyre suppliers in 2008, decided not to bid for the supply,[2] effectively declaring Bridgestone the winner, which was confirmed on 18 October 2008.[3] Bridgestone will be the sole tyre supplier from 2009 to 2011. Only race spec tyres will be provided to the teams, eliminating qualifying tyres, in use until 2008.
