Questions and Answers on RFP Broker/Agent/Consulting Services Property and Casualty Program

Q 1: Should the market assignment excel sheet include information on the Parent Company?

 Please see Addendum No. 1, with the revised Attachment A, Market and Assignments spreadsheet. The parent company information is being added; however, the request for premium volume, AM Best Rating, Admitted/Non Admitted Status, Other, Group Name and Name of Wholesaler should be completed for the Insurance Carrier requested.

Q 2: Lloyds of London is a market made up of 100s of syndicates. If someone requests Lloyds as their “market”, is the individual syndicate and the syndicate’s identifying Lloyd’s number required?

 If Lloyds of London is a market request, please include syndicate’s name and identifying Lloyd’s number.

Q 3: How are the preferred/requested markets assigned to each broker?

 Please see revised Attachment A, market and Assignments. Incumbent brokers/agents will be assigned their current markets. All other markets will be assigned based on completion of Attachment A which will demonstrate relationships with Agency.

Q 4: Is the Convention Center agreeable to sharing who your current broker is?

Q 5: Will current agents be awarded all of the current carriers on the existing policies? If so, will you please provide the list of current carriers and if applicable any participating carrier in a contract allocation?

Q 6: With respect to the “Premium Volume” requested on “Attachment A: Markets & Assignments” – is this the premium volume that the agent has placed with the preferred insurance carrier or that the program manager/wholesale broker has placed with the carrier?

 Please include the premium volume the agent has placed with the insurance carrier. If the agent is using a program manager/wholesaler and is not going directly to the insurance carrier, please acknowledge such and provide premiums placed with wholesaler for this insurance carrier.

Q 7: Are respondents required to respond with quotes and fee structure on the entire property/casualty program including the consulting services or may they bid on only pieces of the program with a corresponding fee for that piece?

 Respondents may bid on individual lines of coverage and/or consulting services. For each line of coverage and/or for consulting services, the respondent shall include a fee.

Q 8: If respondents are required to bid on the entire program, are fees to be reported as one sum or broken down by service provided/policies written?

 Fees should be broken down for each service, each policy etc.

Q 9: Are there any changes to the attorneys and claims service that are currently approved by the carriers to handle claims?

 The claims services are handled by Authority’s counsel and coordinated by the Vice President of Finance & Administration.

Q 10: Who are the incumbent carriers?  see Question 4 above

Q 11: What deductibles/SIRs are utilized in the current program and if the losses shown are in excess of that SIR?

 Losses include those handled by the carrier and are bottom up costs.

Q 12: What limits are being used for the property in the current program? – The RFP shows a range.  Please use the range and respond with your best program.
