25th Anniversary of University of Mary Marauders Football The University of Mary football program celebrates its 25th aniversary season in 2013. Under the direction of Head Coach Jim Driscoll, the Marauders first took to the field in 1988 and opened with two straight wins - a 27-18 win at home over Rocky Mountain College and a 17-0 road victory over North Dakota State College of Science.

While U-Mary failed to find another win that season, it didn’t take long until the Marauders became a dominant force in the Upper Midwest. In his first season, Head Coach Tom Shea led the Marauders to a 7-2 record in 1990, the school’s first winning season. In 1992 U-Mary would win a share of a conference title for the first time. The following year the Marauders qualified for the NAIA national playoffs for the first time.

In a span of 17 years (1990-2007) the Marauders would post 16 winning seasons, qualify for the national championships 10 times and claim six conference titles. Much of the success cam under current Head Coach Myron Schulz. A member of the Marauders coaching staff for 22 years, Schulz owns six playoff appearancs and four conference titles.
