before AfTer Northwest Indiana’s Top Design Center Serving Lakes of the Four Seasons

This is the first of a monthly series of “before” and “after” projects in the Lake of Four Seasons. This month’s article is about how to update a kitchen. We’re here to help!

• The first question one must answer is: Is the kitchen lay out working for me? • The second question is: Are the drawers and slides in good shape or are they on their last legs? • The final question: Is it time to truly do an update, get rid of those soffits and really have a beautiful new kitchen?

Although tearing out the soffits does add to the cost of the project it is what makes the remodel add value to the home by completely updating the look!!

Once we answer those questions the path becomes clear to an exciting new look for the homeowner. We work on how to make the space as functional as possible. In the remodel we did for this client, we tore down a wall to open up the space, we removed a window to increase the storage and we created a fun serving area so that when guests gather we have a great serving area away from the kitchens cooking area.

We did all new flooring throughout that main level of the home to pull everything together and create a flow through the space. Here at Fashion Flooring and Design we have a team of designers who can help you to pull together floor material, cabinet color, countertop material, and a backsplash that will make it all sing!

We are here to help you from start to finish all the way to the paint color selections. The name “Design Center” is truly what we are since we share the building with Kitchen Design Studio. it is one big space in which we all work together with decades of design experience to help you to achieve a space that is cutting edge in design, function and timeless appeal.
