S 2018 The Premier of Alberta is the first minister for the Canadian province of Alberta. He or she is the province's head of government. The current Premier of Alberta is Rachel Notley, who was sworn in on May 24, 2015.

The premier of the province deals with specific areas relating to Alberta and Alberta's relation on the national scene. The premier acts as a representative for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) are in turn the representatives of the people of Alberta. i The Lieutenant Governor of Alberta is the viceregal representative in Alberta of the Canadian monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The Lieutenant Governor of Alberta is appointed in the same manner as the other provincial viceroys in Canada and is similarly tasked with carrying out most of the monarch's constitutional and ceremonial duties.[1] The present, and 18th, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta is Lois Mitchell, who has served in the role since 12 June 2015.

ii Calgary, a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers, owes its rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada’s oil industry. However, it’s still steeped in the western culture that earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo and festival that grew out of the farming exhibitions once presented here.

47 Festival Coffee House During the Festival there will be a Hospitality Coffee House available every day from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Labyrinth Room , across the hall from the Sanctuary. Coffee and fresh muffins will be available to start your day. Meet friends and acquaintances here to make plans for the day, or just stop by whenever you need a quiet place to relax between events.

Knox Volunteers will be there to assist you in choices for lunch, dinner and beverages. There are many restaurants and bars nearby, and some menus will be available to help you make a choice. If you want in-town or out-of-town suggestions for an excursion, we can help with that, too.

See you at the Knox Hospitality Coffee House. Mingle and reconnect!
