Joseph Tawadros AM, virtuoso oud player, composer and triple ARIA winner, is returning to Australia for a Spring Tour of concerts. Joseph is now based in London and will perform in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Milton, Newcastle and Wollongong before heading back to the UK.
World Music – his 2016 CD - has received excellent reviews and the Australian Spring Tour will feature material from the album, alongside works from Joseph’s Angel album and other recent compositions.
“… his profound instinct for making music that is a mirror of truth; a bridge between his heart and mind and those of his listeners. Each time he returned to the oud he produced the finest improvisations I have heard him generate, ever: solos of thrilling intensity, spectacular beauty and unnerving emotion. “ Sydney Morning Herald
“To say the least, Tawadros is an extraordinary musician whose skill and dexterity with the oud is something to behold and on this night he was in great form. … Joseph was the star of the show; his amazing skill and melodic sense was fully on display and held the audience spellbound” Jazzwise Mag.
