“: ” Debate Days: Redemption By Stephen Kim and Arjun Gutta Hi. Hello. Welcome back to us, am I right? I mean seriously: we haven’t done a debate ever since legitimately twelve months ago. Back to the subject: Whose side will win in the new Marvel movie, " 3: Civil War!” Oh sorry, I meant “Captain America: Civil War." Seriously: how is this movie centered on Captain America? It could just as well be “: Civil War”, or anything else: Civil War! But I guess they planned it out ahead of time for consistency, so all well. By the way, for those that watched the trailer or all three, the guy in the black suit that looks like a cat is NOT . She is DC, this is Marvel. The guy in black is Black Panther, yet another character you probably had no idea existed.2On to the debate, but first, we need a scenario… It feels so good to write in Italics again…. Oh sorry. We’re at, hmmm… Chipotle. Arjun and I meet, carrying our usual stuff: laptop, pencil, pen, paper, etc. or whatever journalists carry around these days. We sit down at a table where we can have a discussion that won’t be too disruptive. Stephen: Just clarifying, the two teams, led by Iron Man and Captain America, are, on Iron Man’s side, Iron Man, , Black Panther, , Black Widow, and Spider Man. Captain America is with Ant-Man, Winter Soldier (), , , and (no Quicksilver. sniffles. I can't take it). Cries inwardly for several minutes. Arjun: Who do you support? Stephen: Hmmph. Without a doubt, Captain America. Don’t be a fool. We all know he's a legendary Marvel character, of the team, and most noble hero. He knows how to pick the winning side. Not to mention that he has Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch on his side, who have some ULTIMATE powers (if only he had Quicksilver… breaks down). Arjun: Are you joking? The other team has Spider Man! Nobody has even a remote chance against him. Oh yeah, and they have the freaking VISION! He's a literal god who was created from 's lightning, 's intelligence, and an Stone! .Actually, Thor's not a god3, so scratch that. How do you possibly expect Hawkeye to combat the Vision for more than 10 seconds Stephen: I should have seen it coming. But there is a scene in trailer one where Scarlet Witch subdues Vision. Stephen: Just as a side debate, what side is Black Widow on? In the trailer, she fights against Hawkeye, who is on Captain America’s side, but then warns Iron Man to be cautious. Pretty indecisive. Arjun: Don’t change the subject. Although that is a very valid question. She said “And I’m not the one that needs to watch their back!” She’s clearly having some second thoughts about fighting Hawkeye. Stephen: That’s not what I mean; what I’m saying is that if she decides to leave Iron Man’s team, she could cause some serious problems for the Alliance. That’s what we’re calling them now. Well, a little bit of origin for this debate, if you remember, in “The ”, Stark says, “I don’t trust a guy without a dark side.” To which Captain replies, “Let’s just say you haven’t seen it yet.” This would probably be a reference to the previous Captain America movies and his time in WWII. Arjun: You are correct in presuming everything you have just said, except for the fact that EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID IS WRONG!... yes. Yes, I understand. Ok. Sorry, that was the manager telling me to keep my voice down. Anyways, Captain America is referring to T.W.S. but he is not saying that it would cause for the. Black Widow is most likely referring to how Iron Man is fighting to kill (maybe out of jealousy, maybe out of contempt, maybe to avenge Rhodes). But whatever the case, Black Widow is regretting her choice of Alloys. Am I right? Stephen: … Yes. However, I doubt that Rhodes, aka War Machine, is dead. Very much doubt. They wouldn’t kill a prominent character like him that quickly, not like (sniffles) Quicksilver... Also, where are Thor and in this? In the comics, Civil War goes a long way, including Dr. Strange, and the formation of the Secret Avengers and Thor slaughters them, and Captain America is shot on the steps of a government building by Iron Man himself. Let’s just assume they are going to explain it in this movie. Arjun: I am 95% certain that at least one Avenger is going to die in this movie, and I am about 49% sure that it will be… drumroll please... Vision! Yeah I know what you are thinking right now but look at it this way: is all-powerful and he will stop at nothing to get all the infinity Stones, which he needs to do before all seven worlds align. He can easily get two from The , but one of them is literally in the Vision’s forehead. TO get, Thanos will have to tear it out of him or track down the already dead Vision’s body. Because we all heard him say: “Fine. I’ll do it myself.” In a post credits scene. Stephen: However, I think that Marvel will use this as tension, say if Vision merely becomes incapacitated, then Thanos could fight Vision in Infinity War.

Stephen: …… No. It doesn’t even sound right. But I’m pretty sure Captain America will win, because there is a scene in the trailer where he and Bucky beat the ‘I’ and ‘r’ out of him. And then make it opposite day. So that Iron Man is just No Man. That was pretty good. Arjun: (Prove your point about Iron Man and then add a pun so that the next line makes sense) Stephen: … ……………………………………………………………………….Ok. You said your statement last. We should just write another neutral ending because this is WAY too long. How about… whispers to Arjun. (Look For Ending in next newspaper) Cochella By: Isabella Weluvca Coachella is a music festival that thousands of people go to. Some of the performers are Calvin Harris and Sia. There are many genres of music played at Coachella music like indie, rock, and hip hop. Coachella takes place in Indio, California. Across the grounds there there are shows on many stages. Coachella was created by Paul Tollett in 1999. There are 5 stages that Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and the Sahara Tent that constantly hosting live music. Many famous people are there dressed in a boho style. In 2012 Coachella was expanded to 2 weekends instead of 1. In 2012 the event grossed $47,313,403 and 158,387 attendees. In addition to the music festival there is art showcased large and outrageous pieces. In coachella’s early years they recycled the previous year's art from the burning man festival, due to the small budgets. Artists are allowed in the grounds just 10 days before the festival to assemble their pieces. The festival in hosted in Indio, California and temperatures have ranged from 106℉ to 43℉. The event grounds covers 600 acres.The site is about 125 miles east of LA. The performers are booked as early as august and the festival in hosted around April. Some performers are paid 1 million dollars. Coachella is an attraction to many famous people including Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Thorne.

So our team interviewed some teachers to find out what they thought and here is what they said “ I think it’s fun and it makes people laugh” said Mrs. Boden. Mrs. Lansidel said “’the Dab’ is the best dance ever since the ‘’ and ‘Nae Nae’, but the ‘ Stanky leg’ is better.” As you can see trends aren’t ignored as you think by teachers.
