WORK EXPERIENCE

 Presently working as a Consultant in Research and Information System for Developing Countries, New Delhi since January 2011. My area of work includes analysis of ’s regional trade agreements, WTO issues, and a deeper understanding of the BRICS economies.

 Worked as a Consultant at Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) from August 2008 to December 2010. I have worked on the following areas:

1. Study on the impact of trade on poverty- “How are the Poor Affected by Trade” presented in the International Conference held by UNCTAD in October 2008. 2. Study on the “Impact of Global Slowdown on India's Exports and Employment”. 3. Impact assessment of Indo-Australian and Indo- bilateral government procurement liberalization. 4. Assessing the extent of market access provided by US and EU under Tariff Rate Quotas in agriculture. 5. In-depth study of the Agricultural Modalities on Sensitive Products and the Tariff Rate Quota creation therein. 6. Study on identifying negative list for Global System of Trade Preferences (GSTP). 7. Analysed the Non-Tariff Barriers imposed by US, based on the UNCTAD/ITC Pilot Project on Non Tariff Measures which conducted an extensive survey on the different NTMs faced by Indian exporting and importing companies while trading with the US.

 Have been a part of Stakeholder Consultations for the Indo-EFTA FTA Study of UNCTAD.

1  Was actively involved in organizing UNCTAD conferences such as International Conference on “How are the Poor Affected by Trade”; National Conference on "Global Slowdown: Impact on India through International Trade", and VII Academy of International Business-India Conference on Global Economic Crisis: Opportunity and Challenges organized by UNCTAD and IILM.

 Worked in Research and Information System for Developing Countries, New Delhi, as a Research Assistant from May 2006 to June 2007. I have worked on various studies such as the Indo- ASEAN FTA and RIS-SACEPS Study on SAFTA and Beyond.

 Summer Internship in the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi in 2005. Assisted in the Uttaranchal Development Report. In particular, prepared data for the State’s finances.

 Was awarded the best presentation of the research paper on Characterization of Money Demand Function in India, in Delhi School of Economics.  Scored the second highest in college in Economic Systems in Graduation.  Won a Gold Medal in Maths Olympiad Examination in XII.  Was awarded a Merit Certificate for scoring the highest in Economics in CBSE in XII class (97%).  Second Topper in XIIth class.

Participated in many dramas.  Participated in the Republic Day Parade in school.  Third Winner in Talent-Hunt in college.  Awarded as the Best Singer in the school for three consecutive years.
